Which heartless bastards hack a Wow acocunt, sell all the gear and completley ravages a char a small kid has used almost two years to level? Just wondering? Why can't those bloody bastards level their own chars instead of ruining the char of my little brother? Such things make me pissed!

I were once hacked in Runescape (Which i do not play any longer!) and i lost all my full "Rune" (Compare it to Epic in World of Warcraft) and it had taken me over a year to get.

I thought it was no suprise to anyone that shit like that happens. Anyway, maybe your brother feels bad now, but maybe some day he realizes that those two years were nothing but a waste of time, I'm just saying. The same thing saved me from WoW.

You might want to question him what he did on his computer and what his password was (you know, how short and easy the code is).

Watch yourselves on MMO forums. People tend to make threads that include infected links that'll result you handing your own MMO ass over for nothing. Any fishy links must be avoided. And stop clicking one those x-rated links too, that'll be extremely useful.

You must consider some very important steps dealing with account security:
1 - Avoid using the same username on multiple sites.
2 - Avoid using the same password on multiple sites.
3 - Use passwords that are quite long and involve numbers and other things (!, @, #, $, % etc)(if possible).
4 - An add to number 3: If you got trouble remembering your password, just stick a sticky somewhere in your room with some of your listed usernames and passwords. Better safe than sorry.
5 - Like I mentioned: Avoid them fishy links!
6 - In MMO's: TRUST NO ONE. Seriously, they're all there to get you, and I'm not being paranoid about it.

So what? When I played Runescape very long time ago, I lost my ain, secondary and third accounts! All of them! At least this taugh me that MMORPG are just for time wasting... and Gyro, they don't care who they stole it, they are just like criminals - they don't cate from who they stole, they just steal.

An addition to TDB's post:
NEVER give your username and/or password away if someone asks for it. Even if it looks like f.ex, Blizzard sent it and it looks legit DO NOT reply. Blizzard and every other company would NEVER ask for that information. If they wanted to do something to your account they would just do it.

You know, you can just contact a GM and get your brother's, uh, everything back. It takes approx. 2 minutes after the GM notices, which takes approx. WAY TOO MANY HOURS. D:
