Great Map Idea

Today I had a great idea. I realized that, in most AOS maps, people often tend to stick to a single hero, and develop strategies with that hero. So, my idea is, instead of creating a map made by a single person or team, we create a map made by the HW community. Everybody interested would create an individual hero, and then trigger their own custom skills and abilities for their hero. On completion, everybody would integrate his or her hero into the map. Then, on map initialization, they would get the hero they created for Battle.net (determined by their Battle.net username). This would lead to incredibly diverse gamely and around 50-200 heroes.

Rules:
Importing: Everyone interested in this map is allowed 50kb of imported “goodies.” These “goodies” can include models, icons, and sounds. None of the imported “goodies” may override an existing game path. When Importing a file, you must first remove the war3mapImported\, and replace it with your HW username.
Triggers: Any trigger that must be accessed by the community must be in GUI. Periodic event timers must remain above ever 0.10 seconds. Your hero will get an individual folder in the trigger editor. That folder must be named your HW username. Any variables that you want to put into the map must be named yourHWusername_NameOfVariable. Triggers must avoid leaks.
Other: The WE add on that will be used for this map is the NewGen WE. Any use of the WEU or any other WE is prohibited.

Please leave comments/suggestions.

Will never work. No where did you say how it would be ballenced. Also 95% of people who would apply are incapable of producing heroes that will not leak or bug in which case 1 person could ruin the map for everyone.

Alos hundreds of heroes will really be fast to load the map (sarcasim).

Basically, WC3 is not made for such a large project, especially since not everyone is equally qualified when making spells or triggers.

Ya, I thought it was a longshot to, but I wanted to know what others thought. I just thought it would be interesting to have a map with a massive varietie of heros, made community wide. And I am pretty sure that WE could handle quite a few heros (maby like 80-120) you would just have to be careful of 3 things:
1. Leaks
2. Periotic Events
3. NOOBS!

I just have had this idea for a while and wanted to see what other people thought.

I think its pretty cool, but wouldn't that many triggers / addons / units lag the game along with everything else thats would be implemented?

I think that the idea is cool, as long as people only submit the 'idea' and allow the project leader to alter variables of their spells, such as damage. Otherwise someone just submits a spell that deals 2000000 damage to everything enemies control.

Also:
Triggers: Any trigger that must be accessed by the community must be in GUI.

..WHAT? Excuse me, a lot of stuff created in GUI will leak more than JASS will, therefore JASS is almost exclusively a better option for those that are capable of using it. It also allows for local variables, meaning a lot of stuff codable in JASS is not codable in GUI (Or will take up a crapton of variables.)

An admin should make all heroes and take "ordinations" as a waiter.

"and give him 0.1 seconds attack rate!"
"ssssure... ok... good attack rate"
"and a spell which summons ten infernals!"
"ok, a spell which summons four murlocs..."

Damn I don't care if it doesn't work! I like it!
(Velm wants to do something like this, check his thread)

If such a project used GUI, it would fail instantly as it would become unplayable due to how unefficent GUI is (and no one can argue about that).
Secondly such a map would be only for members. Meaning that other people could not play it which is not a very good idea.
Thirldly, noobs would make their spells rigged.

The result is simple, all used spells would have to be converted from GUI to JASS meaning the maker would have a shit load of work to do. On top of that all spells would need to be ballenced which is even more work.
