I am looking for an invisible unit, preferably a unit that doesnt move his or her hands what attack. Or maybe someone could make a really cool looking unit but his right hand doesn't move. It would help so much.

Why?
Simply because I am going to make a FPS and have come to the conclusion that an invisible unit with no weapons can easly have guns attached to it.

I currently have no test product to show what I am doing but I plan on making some soon :)

Great, I'm thinking of making a whole project with about 20 members, but first I need to make a small test file of it to get people interested.

Could some 1 possible make me a model that has certain animations such as, Reload (some kind of gun), reload (another kind of gun), jump, pan around?

What would this spell be called?

O i no of that but i didnt really think, that that is a FPS since its still in 3rd person view. I mean where all u have 2 c is a gun and some hands.
in alot of fps you see there hands and gun.....:slp: ect halo

I started one

I started such a map about CounterStrike,
but you are right it is very difficult.:thumbs_down:
I am not working on it anymore, because i can`t manage the Unit moving with the arrow keys. Maybe you can take this map (in the attachment) as a basic help. Would be great, because I spended already a lot of time with it:ain:
and I think it would make a lot of fun playing it in Battle.net

wow man of course you see their hands and guns, periferal vision. No one shoots a pistol without being able to see it. I meant by the FPS they are taking about ur in full 3rd dimension.

No i havne't made a system for fps. I thought of something but it currently only has four camera angels. I couldn't get the camera to folo a unit so upclose because then there would be an ofset and it would just rotate from that. So i thought of making multiple cameras (so far 4 of ALOT)

This is what I have done so far. It is by no means finished. It still needs the turn left and right triggers that will be controlled by timers and [event]Keyboard Event - Key pressed/released left/right[/event]. I will probably add an up and down view as well. Tell me what you think.

EDIT: I have implemented the left/right triggering and have attatched the new version of the map

SUCCESS! I got your system to work with the system that I am using. Now, I can do a FPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would you like to join me I am going to start a team

You like it?! It is not complete. I may as well join your team, as long as you realise that my University work comes first. My future depends on it. Can we call the team "Team Modo". That is what I call every team I am part of. :grin:

Is the system complete enough? If it is, I can move on to other things otherwise I will tinker wih it until it is done.

EDIT: x5.gearbox, take the latest version of the map. It has almost all intstructions for options. If you need help configuring it, PM me. It has the left and right functions implemented and a quick turn function. If you want a "move forward by pressing up" I can do that too.

Modo: sure we can call it team modo it hasnt started yet.(I currently have way to many things to work on) Also, I have all the Camera movements aside from being able to move it without moving the man. Also, I need weapon attachments that can be attached to the head of a unit, (this is teh only way i have figured out that you can c only the gun...). All the weapon attachments I have are like modeled on an angel so when i attach it to the "overhead" they are still of camera...
Would, you like to see what I have so far?

x5, you can send me your map and a list of what you want done and I will see what I can do. I have obtained a lot of knowledge recently, and it seems like I just pulled it out of the air. I have some ideas of how to fix the problems you are having, but I would like a copy of the map first. You should send it via PM, if that is possible, so that it will be harder to steal your work.

Modo, I can't PM it to you so i will post it here. Right now I need a way to fix the camera for specific guns. Such as zoom out when you hold a rocketlauncher (or just back a bit so it doesn't get cut off)

Also, I need an ofset so the weapons arent just right in teh center of the screen.

If you play the map, put the weapon item you want to use in slot 1 then type msg "1"

Also, the triggers are very messy right now. So if you could do the camera motions that would help :thumbs_up: I'm going to start writing a story board.

Also, I have found a few gun models but they might not be used. They came with a lying down one of it so i can make it like an item.

Well, I am good with terrain but you can do it if you want to :) Also, I haven't put much thought into the game yet. I first wanted to get the whole FPS system to work. And I'll check out that shooting system. Thanks.

I have been given the right to edit the guns but I have no way of doing that. Can you do it? like make them all at an angle and off to the front and right (so it looks like a FPS) Im not sure how you would do this in Wc3 We either. Any ideas?

Truth be told, I didn't look at the shooting system, I just saw it, downloaded it and gave you a link. I looked at it today and I don't think it will be useful. I will create a system that we will use. It will basically be a summoning of the bullet model and manually moving it. I don't know how well it will work but I will get started on it soon.

I can't edit models, I just don't know how.

I have seen the pilot system a long time ago and brushed it off. I will look at it again though.

I too have been making an FPS mod. I didn't do the trigger-work, but I did the terrain.

Here is the example map attached. It needs a lot of debugging though. If anyone wants to help me finish it, that'd be great.

Rulerofiron99 did the triggering.
