EDITED: Holy crap mine is huge as well, 3.03mb... AKA 3,181,966 bytes.

I just suggest that you don't use that song. Find something in the MPQ to replace it with.

OR, you can replace miniboss with one of my songs. I'll attach it if you want it. It's about 2 minutes 30 seconds and it was made as an mp3 so no screwups.

Aeris also became way too big. From 111kb (114,551 bytes) to 18.2mb (19,167,233 bytes)...

i recopyed it lowering the quality and right now im at 1.2 ish MB
(duh Aerith is 9 minutes long...)

Aeris, and it's 19 minutes long. But still compared to the midi file it's HUGE, the midi is TINY

Tahts becuase MIDI files are jsut references to midi sounds whereas an mp3 is a digital waveform.

yeah but it sucks u cant keep the MIDI file as it is it would take so little space if Blizzard made it so MIDI files could be read by WC3

They've experienced problems with MIDI in the MPQ. They currently only support mp3.
