Curerntly WC3 allows -80...400 IAS works effctively. Anything above get cutted.
Did some even explored possibilities to extend those limits?

Its not have to directly affect AS, for example - it could be done via Bear forms, morphing unit from one to another with lower BAT when AS cap nearby. But is there something else to simulate extra AS?

As you said, you can morph the unit to gain another base value. For what do you need higher modifications? If the bonus/malus display in the standard UI does not matter, an idea would be to pick a median base value like 2 seconds because then you can reach a broad spectrum with still fair resolution.

You should not really need so much faster attack anyway. Attack speed modifiers should be quite rare and hard to obtain. The main problem with WC3 is that agility usually increases attack speed and the minimum standard amount you can set it 1% per agility (you can set it lower in a non-standard way by importing custom constant file). This means that once you hit 400 agility (easily done in RPGs with any form of level progression) then you have maxed out attack speed.

Create a modifed unit of the hero with his attack animation - damage point and backswing set to 0 that you use bear form or a spell like that to replace your hero into that hero when the agility goes over 400 or so.

Voilá, "increased" attack speed.
