Evolving TD

is a TD that gets harder and harder at every SECOND you play. Why you wonder? Because every new second you play, there spawns another creep with +1 hp and +0.5 movement speed. (the first Creep spawning has 1 hp and 250 movement, the game has 1000 levels [16 minutes to play])

The game idea is based on hawk900's: "Rapidly envolving Zerg TD".
Our new project (hawks and mines) will take this main idea and make a completly new TD around it.

The races are undecided yet. I started with a "Forest" race with basicly has much damage and long cooldown.
This is not very fancy I know :D but I will collect ideas and design some unique and cool races which will be fun to play. If you have any sugestions, PM or profilemessage me or hawk900! Usefull suggestions for races or towers will earn +repz of course ;)

Screenshots, films and more will come these days. (I'm not at home at the moment...)

Hmm, I'll provide the repz if you are wondering. Just a note, it is Evolving TD, not evnvolving. Also Spawning not Sporning. The orignial map is in my sig, submitted here.

I am making the triggers and system mostly, and JansZe has the ideas, and makes towers.

This thread is mailnly here for me and JanSze to bounce ideas off each other, but please feel free to comment.

@ JanSze. I got distracted by my map. Will be done with life regen, soon.
 
Hmm yeah ew could think about this. But do you want to play 32 minutes?!
The balancing wont be a problem ;)
 
What I'm thinking is this. You don't want to have your TD be so easy that people would win every time, but if you don't make it that way then someone will lose (if they are bad) in a mere matter of minutes, making him probably disgruntled about the game and not willing to play it again, since he just joined it and lasted like 5 minutes.
 
The speed idea seems a bit pointless as it will hit the cap long before the final wave (maybe speed boost at intervals or use it as the difficulty throttle).

The idea sounds ok I guess, certainly would be new.

Maybe to make it less repetitive, throw in random additional modifiers that take affect for 25 levels every 25 levels? like extra fast giving a +25 speed bonous or extra strong giving +10 armor (which you could make convert into +10% HP). Again that could be used as a difficulty throttle.

Anyway, look foward to playing such a TD.
 
well your ideas are my ideas :D I alredy had them, too :D
Youre right dr super good, it would be really boring to kill the same thing again and again.

Great ideas, DSG! Also I may do the same thing with adding skills, like those in Skibi's Td. Not the same ones, but the same ideas.
