Ok, so what happens after 1 second?
Does the dialog not show up?
Also add a debug message, such as
"Game - display text message: "The dialog should show up" for all players

The dialog does not show up but technically it's "showing", because the outside of the screen goes grey like what a normal dialog does, it's just like invisible.
Also, it seems the buttons are there because when you press < Spacebar >, I have another trigger that runs when a dialog button is clicked, and it runs when you press Spacebar so I assume the buttons are there, just invisible?
