This map has been based on the Diablo III Gameplay Video. You may even recognise a few of the in-game events if you've seen it! Please remember that this is a beta version, and may still contain bugs. Anyone can host this online, just let me know if you find any major flaws in the game :)

hmm, interesting map

but very hard for one player.

In full version make HP of creeps based on number of players.

It is that in the latest version. The thing is that when you have single player, do not play as a mage, otherwise your doomed. use barbarian or warrior, i recommed barbarian. And only use armor items. But this map was mainly made for more then one player.


Thnx. i tottaly forgot that Jass NewGen even existed. Had it befor i reinstalled my comp ;)

Edit: I still get error when it load triggers, yes i use Jass NewGen. :O

Me again. Still bet detailed game EVA, but me and my friend lokomondo went through the entire thing alone in 1 hour and 13 minutes. Is it possible to make it longer, like a campagin map chain?

Campaign's ain't multiplayer compatible.

But waw this is a great project, the terrain is awesome, but the triggers and abillities could be improved a lot :hohum:

I won't rate this yet, cause it's still in somekinda beta-stage, but I would give it 4

As LTGH said, the map does handicap the creeps depending on the number of players. Although that system is still early in development, and needs to be refined :)

Right now, I'm creating this map based on the official gameplay videos on diablo3.com, so I dont really want to start making stuff up or it wont be Diablo III :D

However, saying that, once blizzard releases some more content I might be putting a team together to create some new maps based on whatever they release. If this is the case, the new stuff will be on an enitirely different map, as theres not enough free space to continue on this map without reducing the quality :)

Once these new maps are completed, the aim is to be able to load your character on each map. It would be like an ORPG, but instead of it being open, each map will be a level.

Before I finish, ide also like to point out that everything above is just an idea, and I currently have no plans to go ahead with it =] but you never know :p

There are only 4 classes, so why not have the player limit at 4? It could limit arguing over items. Or alteast add some sort of ability to the host to make someone drop their items if they keep hogging all the good ones.

Before I played this, i didn't think much of it because I've played Diablo maps before and they weren't that good. But when my friend hosted this......THIS IS FREAKING AWSOME!!! Terrain = Above All Else, Gameplay = Fun as hell. Overall, it's just plain amazing. GJ

Maps like this requires somthing so called "Teamwork" when playing 6players, one DPS/Damage per second one Tank/Armor atleast one Witch Doctor and Wizard, the other two is the players own chooise. I would play whit 3Melee and 3 Range. Its not that hard, one take damage, one take armor, two share the int items the other two can take the items the player drops.
Not so smart to play this map whitout any teamwork. and why dont just set it to 4 players when playing the map? insted of have 4 player limit.
Also, he will add more classes and it would be un-needed to set it to 4 then set it to 5 when the Amazon comes and then set it to 6 when next comes and so on.

That sooo true. you cant even compare this map whit the others, since the old ones wasnt made by experienced map makers. And cloudwolf got another big adventage whit hes awesome terraining skills.

ooh, did you guys read that post in the Hive Diablo III Forum? apparently after much mathematical equations someone predicted it will be 09/09/09 lol :)

Although, I cant imagine blizzard will release this game until WoW starts to decline. If ppl start giving up wow to play Diablo for free on bnet, Blizzard are going to lose money! :O and that would be a shame wouldnt it... -_-

We all know that money comes before customer satisfaction so Diablo III may take a while indeed :)

Mind you, saying that, blizzard will undoubtedly find a way to make us pay per month for Diablo 3 I bet :p

yo man what model did u use when u made the water like flow towards the sides of the edges? i thought it was the waterfall really really tiny but idk can u tell me?

Why dont you just open the map and check? thats why its open source..
And yes, its water falls AND a custom water model.
BTW, its normal scalled water falls ( i think ) that is just under the ground, so you just see the upper part.

I have WEU installed but i cant find the Integrate WEU button :sad:

wow lol :) They're like maps of the level! Good job xD

As for the water, I used the Icecrown Tileset waterfall, which i beleive is slightly different :)


Version 1.05 is looking good so far :D Renamed a few creeps, changed a few models, added some new icons, and im also adapting the spells to look more like the diablo III onces specified on the official website :D

The next updates going to be more system based, so you probably wont see many aesthetic changes this time around =]

A very good map, but a few things you could add though
I think all of these things could improve your map and make it feel more like D3

*Before they fight the Siegebreaker in the D3 trailer the trees transform into Gnarled Walkers. That would make the fight harder and more epic.

*You should remove those mammoths and replace them with either Dune Treshers or Scavengers. It would be cool if you could make them pop up from the ground.

*I would personally like more if the warrior class was replaced by a Paladin.

*D3 artwork has showed a very intressting monster named Mistress of Pain, a female monster, thought to be an act boss. Would be cool if you could fight her inside of her lair filled with cocoons and broodlings

*If those skeletons with shields would have an ability like the normal footman, which make them reflect ranged attacks

*Your Bloated Creations are called Grotesque and those eel that spawn from their corpses are called Lamprey

*If some zombies that die would become Crawling Torsos

I hope some of things from this list can be of use to you

Items need to stack in your next version.

Also, I would make drops a little more random, and add a few items geared towards the melee fighters. As it is, the drops are completely static. Every time you kill X unit, he drops X item. There should be chances on every unit for them to drop different types of items. Perhaps giving all the murlocs a 1% chance to drop the armor. Etc. You could also randomize the chest drops, which I strongly recommend. You could trigger this, and you could also trigger it so that the drop rate increased based on the number of players in game (accurate to Diablo).

You also need to fix the disabled version of the icons, so people can see when it's on cooldown.

Another problem is that the Barbarian class greatly outshines the Warrior class and they both have shockwave. Perhaps changing the class, or tweaking the skill set a bit more. I would definitely change Dual Wield to be a permanent swappable change. Long blade granting higher damage, and dual blades granting lower damage but faster attack speed.

Amazing, thats all i can say. one thing i noticed was sort of a major issue for me but idk. It was not balanced. the barbarian was the only one seeming to survive. but again i was playing one player. other than that, amazing! i have to say, 5/5.
EDIT: eh, forgot i cant rate for 10 days. i will once the 10 day period is over.

This map is based on the real Diablo III. Blizzard have confirmed that the only class returning from the previous games wil be the barbarian (or so ive heard) so there probably wont be one :D

Im gonna add heroes to this map as blizzard reveal them :)

As for the warrior, I only added him in the balance the game xD So there 2 casters and 2 tanks :)
