I guess you're hoping it will summon unleash the hounds or snake trap. They both counts as spells and not as beasts. Atleast that's how it works with other cards. For example Snipe triggers when a minion is summoned it does however not trigger on spells such as unleash the hounds.

Since you draw the card you can't actually draw triple King Krush since you can only draw a card once. You can still get triple King Krush if you play as a priest against a hunter and have mind vision and mind control. It's very hard though so don't bet to highly on it.

I wonder if you need to have the card in your deck.. else it seems pretty OP.

There are cards that work in the exact same way with demons so I suppose that you will draw one of the cards in your deck and if you don't have any demons in your deck you are compensated with a 1/1 worthless imp.

Animal companion counts as a spell since Lorewalker Cho can copy it. Hogger on the other hand is not a beast.

Weird. On one hand, it is nice that you can get an extra card, but on the other, it sucks if you end up with something like a gorilla. I think I might've preferred to have it draw from my deck.

I think I saw blue post stating it can draw any [beast] card that is not a token card, that it does not draw a card from your deck and that it has an even chance for any of the cards to be drawn.

I think it is pretty decent, interestingly it cannot be used for deck thinning like all other card draw cards hunter would run.
But, it can be pretty good for a midrange/control hunter to retain card advantage.

Honestly I think this one of the best Nax cards so far, it is 1 drop that can give you card advantage early on plus it has something no other 1 drop has.. it is not irrelevant late game !

I think it's still pretty gimmicky, as even though it's pretty good for tempo, there are so many terrible cards you can draw, such as parrots, crabs, chickens, etc.

I think that Kel'Thuzad is pretty strong, and he is a 6/8 so I assume everybody and their mother who plays F2P will run one.
I can see him in every Handlock and Ramp Druid ever hiding behind taunts.

Think it'll be a "win more" card, since you already have to have some board control to make it useful. What I'm really interested in is some of the adventure bosses, like when you vs Rivendare, Faceless a Horseman + Master of Disguise = instant win? Or 20 taunts and some card draw vs Patchwerk?

There is a way to buy entry with real $$ and an ingame gold method. Personally, I'm trying to reserve ~1000 on US and EU to start off with (I already have 1k on US stocked, but EU somewhere around 800 since I ran a few unsuccessful arenas). The first stages should be pretty cheap. There were some leaked prices somewhere, but I think they are still making lots of changes, bug fixes, etc. I wouldn't take those leaked prices to heart.

It's expensive to me.

It's not the same amount of effort as a normal game to make. All they have to do is come up with ideas, art, and balance. To charge me that much for an expansion to a F2P game is lame. They make money off of in-game purchases. WTF Blizzard?

Also I'm a cheap bastard. I rarely buy games at full price these days ($5 games on steam ftw), and the odds of this ever going on sale is so low.

Oh well, I might get it anyways. Damn Blizzard and their money grubbing corporation.

Oh, and 700 gold is pretty much completely out of range for casual players.

Well, 700 gold is not half bad, especially considering you get a decent amount of gold just for completing a wing.

If you do your dailies, it is pretty easy to rack up gold quickly, especially if you stay away from arena. Arena is like a strip club casino. It is possible to make a profit, but usually you're in for a loss. You don't feel that bad about it though, since it is usually worth it due to the rewards.

It takes time though. I've played on and off for the past month or so, but I completed dailies once in a while, and that was enough to rack up some nice gold.

Damn I just hope I get to Legend before the new cards screw up the meta. In terms of gold, purge is prolly right. As long as you don't binge, 700 is not too much, but it is a bit of a stretch getting 2800 for all 4 wings in only 4-5 weeks.

I kinda feel he other way around I want the new cards to create new decks and fuck the meta. The meta is really boring right now. Because of the current meta I can only play warlock if I want to be rank 5+ I don't got cards for force roar and I sold all warrior cards a while ago. Sold my miracle deck too.

That's basically what went through my mind, but I felt that 30 wins per day might be a bit much for more casual players, so may not be able to catch up. I agree that the meta is getting a little bland, but recently I've seen some interesting decks at 6-1, like Ancestral Healing/Spirit, and even Kolento became #1 NA with a midrange Paladin deck, so there's change going on even without Nax.

even if one person succeed with a deck, that doesn't make it viable. (@wow) Vanguards made it to top 1 with ret pala in a patch that they were considered useless. However he was the only one who managed to play with it on high rank.

100g per day from wins?! Am I doing something wrong? It's 10g from 3 wins, so that's 30 wins. At best that's 5 hours of playing. I play like 3 games a day... lol.

I figure from daily's it would take 14 days minus whatever gold you get from arena or the bonus 10g from 3 wins. While that may not seem awful, you are not getting cards during that whole time.

I suppose it depends what the rewards are like for the wings. If you get a decent amount of cards and or gold, then fine.

Again, I see this game as a casual game. I have like 1 friend who still plays the game semi-regularly. Everyone else quit because it was too hard to get cards. This is even less casual.

I'd say hearthstone is fairly casual though, you can reach rank 10 with a super cheap zoo deck. Naxx is the first experience that a player can miss because of inaccessibility BUT I think it's a very good thing. I beg to god that they don't make the same mistake with hearhstone as with WoW. EVERYONE MUST HAVE ACCESS TO EVERYTHING WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING!

If you are ranking up the ladder (which many many people do) you will be getting easy 100g a day (even with only 40g quest) so in my opinion for majority of people the price ranges between cheap and acceptable.
Besides many people I imagine already have that 2800 gold as everybody expected 1000g/wing at least so started farming beforehand.

Moreover the Naxx cards don't really seem that good at all so I don't believe anybody will "have to" buy anything.
Noobs who will join after better just buy packs instead.

I have played 6 hours of hearthstone per day the last week or so. But normally I play like.. max 2.

You can pull out 5 min wins with murloc warlock in casual games for farming. Either win or lose in 5 min, else concede. If you do that, 5 hours for 100g. If you divide it by two, you play 2.5 hours for 50 gold + 40 gold for quest. That's very close to a naxx wing.

According to a tweet by Ben Brode, Millhouse and then Loatheb = 5 mana-cost spells. Loatheb then Millhouse = 0 mana-cost. So it is possible to get them to combo. It might not be the best idea against a mage, but it works well for almost everyone else.

They are horribly underwhelming to be perfectly honest. The amount of taunters is pretty silly, I'm assuming Blizz somehow thinks that making gimmicky taunters is somehow a solution to Leeroy.
The legendaries I think are so laughably bad, with only Kel'Thuzad being somewhat passable IMO.
Loatheb is useless, Maexxna is .. just a worse boulderfist ogre, Feugen and Stalagg are the ultimate gimmickness of the level of inner fire + divine spirit.

The one card that I think is really really good, is Zombie Chow in a priest deck. I think this is better for a priest than the actual priest card, and I think this is the card the priest needed.

It'll be interesting to see what people do. It's hard to simply call cards trash without seeing what combos people can come up with. Nothing looks strong, true, but we are generally thinking of what would go with the current meta.

Also I hope Blizzard starts making balance changes more. This is what the game needs the most; an ever changing meta.

From the new cards I think only the Deathlord is broken.
The stats for cost ratio is completely bonkers and the deathrattle is just amazing, I assume designers at Derpzzard thought it would be a disadvantage but in practice it will pull and neutralize all battlecry/situational cards in the opponent's deck.

It's really strong against agro, but pretty bad for a 3 drop against other decks. Even if it gets rid of a battlecry, it's still a 0 mana minion for your opponent.

There are lots of good cards imo.
-Loatheb will be amazing, and likely in a lot of decks. Kripp called it possibly the best card in hearthstone now. I disagree, but it's still good.
-Mad scientist is pretty awesome, mostly for mages.
-Sludge Belcher will almost single handedly counter rush decks.
-Feugen is a sick 5 drop stat wise.
-Spectral night is boss against control decks
-Unstable Ghoul is another rush counter that's awesome.
-Wailing Soul has some really good possibilities. It's got much better stats than other silence minions, and could be used really well in certain decks (especially with ancient watchers).
-Reincarnate will make of for awesome deathrattle decks with Shaman
- Anubar Ambusher is super strong for its stats and it's deathrattle can be played around fairly easily.
- Shade of Naxramus has potential. At the very least it can take AoE away from your opponent for 3 mana or be a 3-3. At best it could win you the game.
-Poison Seeds is hard to gauge. Could be amazing as a hard board clear, or it could wind up being useless in a match.

@Talavaj: I think it is helpful against Zoo. But the deathrattle can ruin the game. I would consider not even playing it against something like control warrior. It is still a very good card though, except maybe against priests. I would personally try using it as a priest. It could be a good inner fire target.

@Ceday: Shade is strong for buffs, but it is a 3-mana investment. I have a feeling people will have to break stealth prematurely to get board control. But I think it could be really useful for something like miracle rogue, which usually has to pass on turn 3 anyway.
