cant find an old spell uploaded on hive

A few years ago i saw a spell that was not JASS and uloaded to this site
if u targeted a unit then it trew a rock close to it and put a chain between the rock and the target. if the target walks to far away from the rock then it damages the target and drags the rock with him. target moves slow when draggin the rock

the chain was red.

The life time of the rock was like 10 seconds, but each time the rock is dragged (because target it getting to far away from it) then the life time of the rock decreases


Can anyone remember the spel name or link to it? i haved searched for way to many hours

After Blizzard fixed the return bug we had to purge the spells section because most spells were no longer compatible.

You're probably better of requesting it to be remade or finding a similar spell.

It is very close to the idea you have, at the very least (but not the same effect-wise). I doubt anyone will know the specific spell. Your best bet is making a thread in the requests forum.

The name of the spell is "Chained Bolder", it is no longer working with the current patch.
Tooltip was:

Rocky throws a boulder to an enemy which chains it up to it limiting the units movement range.

Rank 1 - Normal boulder , Long chain
Rank 2 - heavy boulder ,shorter chain
Rank 3 - very heavy boulder , short chain

I'll write a working version as soon as I have time for it.

yea it was chained bolder! I hope you can make it look as smooth as it used to be
If possible can you make it easy to ajust the damage, range of the chain and duration? thanks

Are you familiar with JASS/vJass? Because I don't have the time now to write the spell.
I can give you the source code, it's a bit messy, because it uses gamecache but still read-able.

But then there is no point in re-coding the spell, because it would be vJass.
The chain requires a form of data structure with the option to enqueue and remove nodes
and I certainly won't do that in GUI.

I think he's saying he can't MAKE stuff in jass/vjass. I highly doubt the original code was made in GUI.
