hello hive today i have few ideas that been stuck in my mind for a while campaign ideas to be specific i would like to put them out there so maybe someday i make them or someone else uses them as inspiration they are:
1-orc goes to our world: the idea for this campaign is that an orc blademaster is fighting a demon and as he is about to kill him the demon summons a portal that sucks the BM into it and throws him into our real world he now has to navigate our world and try to get back to the world of warcraft and stop defeat the demon on his journey he meets a warcraft fan both would develop a friendship as they help each other gameplay wise you will probably control the BM or the WC fan the setting can be a crowded city similar to new york.
2-orc paratroopers: now this is my favorite idea as its involves high speed zeppelins orcs with parachutes and more.....it takes inspiration from real life operation market garden as the idea is the player will need to capture bridges and important and strategic locations using the paratroopers to achieve this just picture a grunt or a troll dropping from the sky with an orc style parachute lol , of course since its based on market garden which didnt end well it can end in a similar manner to how elements of the 1st airborne captured a bridge and held it against overwhelming odds in this case it can end in the player and his troops dying in an epic last stand instead of a surrender.
3-skeleton adventure: a cool idea which you get to command a party of 4 people to explore the world in their new skeletal from after they died in terms of aesthetic you can have a Transylvanian aesthetic or a gothic one if needed to depict the undead world this doesnt have to happen in the world of warcraft and can deviate the party should consist of a human pirate , an orc warrior , an elven mage or a dwarf , and a 4th character who didnt finalize who will be? can be a night elf archer or dark elf archer if needed in terms of story it can be that the 4 need to make their way into the world of the living and must face many trials on their journey of the underworld then once they arrive on the living world they need to figure how they died so they can finally rest in peace or something else idk i havent thought of their goal in the living world each character can have an arc of its own the human pirate can have a family for example who he wants to see how they are doing without him? idk about the others.....gameplay wise well since u are just 4 i guess it can lean heavily into RPG.
4-dreadlord scheme: this one has to be the hardest of ideas to turn into a real campaign since this will have the player play as a dreadlord tasked with summoning the legion into a planet he has to weaken the 3 kingdoms that rule the planet this campaign involves a lot of choices starting from which kingdom you want to infiltrate to who you want to disguise yourself as some kingdoms can allow you to be a general a merchant or someone else depending on the kingdom if its warlike , peaceful , rebellious etc , each path you take will consist of 8 missions ending in the player summoning the legion or getting a bad ending in which he gets killed before doing so or the meh ending which he summons the legion but dies in the process of doing so , now what makes this quite a tough project is that you need to come up with 3 unique kingdoms that look different from each other and give each a good amount of lore , you may ask "how does the planet look like?" i would say leans more towards a desert and barren vibe , some missions can lead to different missions depending on your choices and you choose a lot since your plan is to weaken the inhabitants of the planet then you will be able to pull off assassinations of certain people , start civil wars , make 2 kingdoms wage war at each other , start a cult which does assassinations and cause mayhem , ally or annihilate the nomad tribes (yeah there is those) and a lot more i think this needs a team of people to actually do.
and so these were 4 ideas i had to turn into campaigns.
