Calamitas Clone [Terraria Calamity Mod]

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
This machine which stalks the night carries the failed clone of the Supreme Witch. Though lacking her hexes and black magic, even a fragment of Calamitas' brimstone power was enough to drive the clone to insanity. Nothing human remains. - Beastiary

This is not based on the ingame sprite, but rather the Concept Artist's idea(link here).

Well, tell me if there's any issues below, like any ingame problems as well.
Or if maybe you want another animation....

Also, it's supposed to be like a Boss enemy, but not really a hero, so I didn't wanna give it any hero glow.

Entry for Mini SD Modelling Contest

edit: added portrait -2
Edit 2: added stand victory
Edit 3: Added alternate set animation

Calamitas Clone (with Morph) (Model)

Calamitas Clone [Terraria Calamity Mod] (Model)

Hi there! I was wondering if you could separate the character model from this artwork (it's currently a combined model). I have a storyline idea: suppose I use this model as the basis for a boss fight. I want it to have two phases. The first phase is exactly as you've published—the child and his mechanical toy combined, with the toy acting as his cockpit, protecting him from damage until it's destroyed. Then it transitions to the second phase, where only the child remains. Having lost his toy, he becomes enraged and gains special abilities (visual effects and movements).

Right now, I'd really love it if you could create this standalone child model and add some extra animations and visual effects for him. Maybe you could also make animations of him entering and exiting his mechanical toy—like a simple jump into the mechanical cockpit ,and jumping out of it. Oh, and one more thing—an animation of him falling down after the mechanical cockpit explodes!
I’d be super grateful! Thanks a lot!

I do think it's possible, but I'll still do it with the original concept/lore as the Calamity's boss though, but with those animation in mind. Maybe I'll treat it like Infernum mod's version of this boss. Also, I'll see when I finish it, idk

but man, since i've attached the root bone of Calamitas to the skull's lower jaw, it's hard to animate their morph using purely wc3's engine haha, not like Blender's modifiers work, so i'll see what I can do there

Check the new model update, that should fit what you want. With the issue I mentioned above with the rig, this is the easiest way to do it without resorting to making it stay in same spot every single frame.

This is a perfect change that meets almost all my needs! Thank you so much, you are the best forever!

Hefty work on the animations and generally very impressive!
It's just not very warcraft'ish, which might be a plus for heavily customized maps.
