Map info
This is a small PvP arena, where you pick your hero and kill other players
Combat style is different than on generic wc3 maps, you use arrow keys to control your hero and you must attack with hotkeys. Attacks aren't single target but they only deal area damage in front of your hero so attacking isn't so easy as it seems.
There are also other features like special attacks that costs adrenaline points(mana). The trick is that you gain adrenaline by killing opponents or by picking up adrenaline boosts. There are also special runes that gives you movement speed, life regeneration, etc..
You can also use jump skill that costs no adrenaline to jump over the rocks to move around faster or avoid incoming attack.
Also there are kill sounds like First blood, mega kill, ultra kill, etc...
Everything is supported by nice visual effect, terrain, sounds and animations

Ok, this is for now, I'll update this with screenshots, gameplay and other in near future. Just to let you know what I'm working on :p

This map is on hold, I'm not sure when I'll continue with it.

Lag isn't the factor, it was tested several in multiplayer and no lag at all. Jump is designed so that you can jump only over come rocks and cliffs. :)

And it's really easy to understand: arrow keys to move 5 hotkeys to do different actions, you don't need mouse at all.

I's like a shooting game like Quake or UT only wc3 style with no long ranged weapons :p

Plus this map is stile evolving and ideas are keep coming in my head, I have so much to do. Atm I'm working on item spawners (health packs, adrenalin, runes).

Strangely, I haven't seen your posts for a while (I was pretty inactive, so :p)

Anyway, this is rather unused, as far as I know. I have played this really interesting map called TcX. It's basically Warcraft Quake and its really epic. I'd like to see how this one turns out.

The one thing I'm worried about is the variety of spells that can be implemented. If you are planning to create a map that doesn't use the mouse, there are quite a few limitations to the things you can create.

Moving on, I'm curious as to how fast-paced this map is. I have seen many attempts at a fast paced PvP, but many end up being really long and painful. I really love fast-paced maps, but they are rare of late.

One last question: Does this map use a round system or a persistent kill system?

EDIT: Oh, just realised that you are using the generic kill sounds :(
I know that there aren't many good kill sounds out there, but those are used in almost every map :p

Seems like quite the interesting idea/map. Could turn out either great or terrible :) Probably great. I think it will lack in replayability though, the gameplay seems to be quite repetive. But it is nothing that won't be able to change either, the rune/item thing will probably help the variation in the game, and visual effects by Berz will be enough to replay it anyways :D
 
For now I'm cool with default wc3 models.

Umm, there arent any default ranged units but there will we ranged spells like skockwave and stuff like that. That's because accurate aiming would be almost impossible, lets say arrow would hit something in aoe 25 and shockwave would hit something in aoe 250.

Oh and what do you thing about this:

Killing = gold and mana, gold = abilities, abilities = mana. and abilities would be like omgwtfnukeboom.

Yes my friend but an arrow is really fast and will probably be much faster than the hero's movement speed (not to mention the movement with keyboards). So I think it wouldn't be that hard to hit a hero with a low aoe attack. Oh and also the arrow attack probably has the smallest aoe. Rifles, Magic attacks, and etc would have a higher aoe.

About the Killing formula. What do you mean by mana? Leveling or a replacement for lumber?

Now this is cool although I wonder if the map has any creeps at all or just heroes? :p I guess heroes as you mentioned about small size.

My only concerns are and yes I know you can make very nice spells (old good times :D), you guys talked about target point like spells (shockwave as an example). How about something more difficult, unit targeting spells? :D is it when you attack in certain combos or something alike?
