Blood Elf / Silver Coveneant Archer (Request)

This bundle is marked as approved. It works and satisfies the submission rules.
Just a request for a Hight Elf archer skin.
As well as a Blood Elf variant with the same armour as Blizzard's Blood Elf Lieutenant.

Use this for your models if you want to have multiple skins in-game.
For blood Elf Icon use: ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNHighElvenArcher_v1.blp

Any chance of getting a Silver Covenant Swordsman too?
 
The good thing is I'll also be able to make Sin'dorei models from all mentioned requests (if they already didn't exist).
Once I spend an hour per skin to meticulously crop every detail, all I have to do is change the colours.

Now before I really go on that patch, I'd like to get an input from all who want more Quel'dorei models:

1. Should the blue should be deeper?

2. Should I make the silver accents appear steel like with purple tones?

I would think the high elf archer is the worst choice to start making reforged skins for, since if blizzard ever decides to change some models, this model will likely be at the top of the list since it moves and attacks really awkwardly. But I am not familiar with how skins work, so maybe an updated model would still allow a skin for an older model to be compatible.

Not an issue. Got Retera's Model Studio and backed up every Reforged file.
All I'd had to do is link the textures to the model and save it as a custom one.

wouldn't the High Elf Swordsman suffice already? It's distinct enough for the Blood Elf Swordsman

unless you meant the Lieutenant?
Well... call me picky, but the Highelf Swordsman does have the distinct green eyes of the Blood Elves and it's stuff like that, that really boters me^^

It probably wouldn't hurt to darken the blue a little, but overall I think you did just fine.
 
Hey guys, pls help me to import it. Red a lot of tutorials but its always about adding .mdl file or .blp but i cant see any of 'em here. what am i doing wrong? pls help.
this was one of tutorials i used Importing Models, Skins and Icons.
.blp is obsolete with reforged... at least nobody will use it because of the huge file size.

See the Import path(s): near each file?
When you imported all of my texture files into the game, just overwrite their names with what is written here.

Like that:

war3mapImported\human_archerbloodelf_main_diffuse.dds
becomes
units\creeps\HighElfArcher\human_archerbloodelf_main_diffuse.dds


war3mapImported\human_archerbloodelf_main_emissive.dds
becomes
units\creeps\HighElfArcher\human_archerbloodelf_main_emissive.dds


war3mapImported\human_archerbloodelf_weapon_diffuse.dds
becomes

Yes, One could make a model which is just a copy of the original, but has custom texture paths.

This skin is great and thank you for making it. The fact that the original high elf archer model had the blood elf green eyes and fel gems bothered me.

Getting any more skins for Quel'dorei or Sin'dorei would be nice. Playing with an army whose units and heroes matched would be cool. Then you could choose to play high elf or blood elf, instead of the mix that it is now.

i know it would be a bit late but:
1) no - it would be harder to give her shoulders matching teamcolor if is there no way to get no team color at all

Could I still have both Blood Elf Archer and High Elf Archer in the same map?

Like for example if I wanted to have a Sin'dorei Faction with the Quel'dorei Faction I could do that and same with the Swordsman?

Yes that is possible, you'd just need to copy the archers model files and change the texture paths. There's a few tutorials of how to do that on this site :)

You need to update this. The same paths for Silver Covenant and Blood Elf causes one to be overridden. I suggest changing it to human_archerhighelf_X
