congratulations, of all the battlecruisers posted here over the years, this is the worse.
I mean, sorry, but u have a looong way to go.
Let me break it down for you;
im not gonna bitch on the textures and anims, cuz u already know they suck, so lets have a look at the model itself.
The exhaust pipes at the tail; have a look at the wireframe model so you can see inside it, see where the pipes enter the rest of the model? (Its the part which you dont see normally) Each pipe there has a 6 poly cap.. REMOVE THOSE! you dont see those faces, so remove them. Same for the boxes at the wings.
Then, extrude.. you extruded all over.. EXTRUDE IS YOUR ENEMY! it pumps up polycount like insane. Look at the tips of the lasers; u used extrude to create those noses. dont. put seperate piramid like cylinders over the long cylinders, cuz having a hole in a surface creates a whole bunch of vertices (6 in this case) each creating extra polies.. each laser tips uses 12 polies were it should use only 4 to close the back of this tip.
And in general, all of the flat surfaces closing of cilinders seem to have a vertice in the centre. Again, that makes 6 polies to close the surface instead of 4.
Then the ship bridge itself; u extruded those blue boxes, cutting the ship body in 5 to have the amount of planes to extrude those blue boxes.. DONT DO THAT. use 1 object for the ship body and place seperate boxes to get those blue things in place.
In addition, I see lines cutting surfaces apart, doubling polycount, FOR FLAT SURFACES!??! like:
front of ship: flat surfaces, yet cut horizontally doubling polies.. u did this for the whole ship, including the wings, not only horizontally, but also from top-view.
Oh,and those brown cilinders (which of course also have their edges capped with 6 polies each, while those edges vanish in the ship), things like that are small; you dont give those 6 sides, you give them 3 sides (and remove the cap from their edges). that would make 6 polies each instead of 24.
Seriously, given the complexity of this model, it can be done in 90 polies... u used 900..
aestheticly, it blows. 0.1/5
so all u have going for u is technique.. well i can tell you, technically its even worse; 0.05/5
seriously, everyone can use extrude. But thats like a kid putting together a construction set of a miniature house using 10 rolls of ducktape..
learn to model poly-efficient and try again.
