Attack Animation

HI!
i want to change the attack animation of a unit to bow if the unit wears a bow item.
well ive read this thread http://www.thehelper.net/threads/how-to-change-attack-animation.17705/
i tried the solution of Taerar.. but it didnt work, did i anything wrong?
do u know how it works?

could be caused by the animation....i tried that once with an attack-3 animation but it wasnt working while attack-2 and attack-1 worked perfectly...

well nothing is working

what i did:
created a new ability based on the lightning attack ability of chimaera
then i just typed in the animation in the animation names box
i gave the skill to an item, so that he will play the animation if he has the item

anything wrong?

never tried to use this skill with an item....try to add it to the unit directly an look whether its working.

which model are you using? first of all make sure that the unit indeed has bow animations... also, there are already lots of threads about that here so just browse/search...

well the unit has the bow animation, i tried it on unit directly, doesnt work

Show us the model.

Usually, these models have a set of "bow animations" that can be activated by using

• Animation - Add animation tag

E.g. to give a footman the defend animation without casting defend, you would use

• Animation - Add "defend" to Footman 001

You can remove it later, using the same action.

the model is the villager with many animations

There are a few of those... one has 255, another has 40.
