Legends of the South

Introduction:
Greetings, fellow readers! I have decided to make a single-player roleplaying game called Ardania: Legends of the South. I will be editing this thread often with screenshots, information and gameplay. Feel free to post your ideas and comments.

Ardania: Legends of the South is a SPRPG (as said before) that will have regulary-seen game mechanics like Inventory, equipment and multiple "bags" systems, as well as a bank for you to store your stuff in. You can learn two proffesions. The proffesions are Blacksmithing, Mining, Herbing, Alchemy, Skinning and Leatherworking.

Legends of the south will also have dungeons and maybe huge raids that can be completed by yourself or with Companions. Companions are not other people playing online but NPC's that you either control or who follow you around. You will get alot of these as you complete the many quests that will be seen in LotS.

Many towns and cities will offer inns where you can hire mercanaries for a specific amount of time. Food and Drink stalls, Potion stalls, Weapon shops and many others can also be found and sell stuff which you buy with the gold you gather from quests, dungeons and enemies.

For enemies, there will be a few Types like Bears, Wolves, Ghouls, Zombies etc. and then there will be Prefix creeps, which is like Black Bear, Timber Wolves, Ghoul Shadowstalker etc.

History

Classes and Specializations

There are 10 classes to choose from when you enter the game. The classes are as followed, and there specializations are included. So far there are 10 classes and 30 specializations.

NOTE THAT: All classes here are part of the World of Warcraft MMO game. They are only placeholders for future classes.

The Warrior is a main fighter, one who protects weaker members of his group (companions). He uses taunts and deadly sword attacks to strike fear into his opponents. The Warrior's specializations are the Defender; the Knight and the Dual-Master.

The Mage is an elite wizard, who handles the powers of Fire, Ice and Water. He may conjure up food to eat and summon portals that can send him to certain areas of importance. The mage's specializations are the Flamebringer; the Frozen and the Aqua Mage.

The Priest is an elite healer, who can heal and even resurrect his fellow companions. Priests are a great importance in dungeons and raids as their healing powers are the door between Hope and death. The Priest's specializations are the Shadow Priest; the Light Bringer and the Healer.

The Rogue is a thief, bandit and enforcer all in one. They sneak around, invisible as their powers allow them to, and back-stab anyone they think might need it. The rogue is adept at making and throwing goblin grenades. The Rogue's specializations are the Sneak; the Backstabber and the Shadow Hunter.

The Hunter is born to use a bow or a crossbow. Either way, they are deadly when using the weapons and have even been known to tame ferocious beasts into companions who will gladly follow them and help them. The Hunter's specializations are the Bandit; the Demon Hunter and the Beast Master.

The Warlock is adept at dark magics and summoning the demons of doomed planets. They can cause massive earthquakes and summon mighty demons, but do not use mana. Instead, each spell cast steals a tiny bit of their health. The Warlock is also adept at stealing enemies' health and taking it for himself. The Warlock's specializations are the Doombringer; the Life Guardian and the Demon Master.

The Paladin is the holy man in the kingdom. He can cast great healing magics while destroying any enemies opposing him. Hating the dark undead, Paladin's have a special power when fighting the feared beasts. The Paladin's specializations are the Holy Man; the Dead Slayer and the Life Keeper.

The Druid communicates with the land itself, helping it grow and thus the land gives them control of the elements of nature and air. The Druid's of the elven kingdom can conjure up huge storms and entangle their enemies in the roots of the earth. The Druid's specializations are the Beast; the Earth Guardian and the Restorer.

The shaman is the king of the elements. He can conjure storms and use the earth like Druids do, but can use fire, lightning and water better. Casting lightning bolts, summoning minions and placing totems is the shaman's goal to life. The Shaman's specializations are the Flame Warden, the Storm Bringer and the Wave Master.

The Death Knight is the bringer of death. He conjures up dark and evil creatures while binding others to his will. He is the master of the Frost, Blood and Unholy spells in the Kingdom. Although evil, the Death Knight is accepted by the kingdom's men as powerful. The Death Knight's specializations are the BloodKing; the Frost Seer and the Blood Warden.

Also: the Death Knight gets treated unlike other classes when talking to people. Instead of thinking of you as a hero, you are treated like dirt.

NOTE THAT: I still have loads to add, so don't criticise me for "not having enough information..." lol.

i think SPORPG isn't good at all
that RPG needed is team play

Battle.net for Warcraft 3 is basically dead when it comes to new maps, and in the future the population wiull most likely continue to decline. SP games are what we need to make, and if you pull it off right then it can be a lot better than having a bunch of people with you.
