what programs do you use to make them?

-3DS Max 5.0 + WC3 Art Tools -> this is what I do
-GMAX + neodex

how do you make them?

-with bones -> this is what I use
-by editing existing models ( mdl files )

how do you use existing wc III animations?

- I think you convert mdx to mdl and you will find them in there with notepad ?

how do you add them to your models?

3Ds max 5 (can't give you the link)

how do you make them?
I use bones or bipeds. Moving bones adding keys and that's it :D :) (Use google to search about 3D max bones and biped) *if you have 3Ds max read the art tools documentation*

how do you use existing wc III animations?
I did this once by importing wc3 model in my 3Ds max 5 with BlizzImporter

how do you add them to your models?
I usually do custom animating. You can do animation transfer (from one model to another *models must have the same bone structure*) with Animtransfer

Some people use other tools like Milkshape3D or MDLvis but I don't support that.
