[Solved] Animation

hello
i have made a firelord
and i made his ultimate based on Channel ability
anyway i cant make him play the NeverMore Dance animation when using the ult
even though i used the custom script
call SetUnitAnimationByIndex (GetTriggerUnit(), Index)
and changed the index from 0 to 25 but nothing
any ideas ?
 
Which base ability do you use?
I think the Flame Lord's model has no "spell channel" animation but a "stand channel".

If it still doesn't work, try something like this :
  • Trigger 1
    • Events -
      • A unit starts the effect of an ability
    • Conditions -
      • (Ability being cast) == YourAbility
    • Actions -
      • Set AbilityUnit = (triggering unit)
      • Timer - Start AbilityTimer as a one shoot timer that will expire in 0.00 seconds
  • Trigger 2
    • Events -
      • AbilityTimer expires
    • Conditions -
    • Actions -
      • Animation - Make AbilityUnit plays the stand channel animation

i ddnt understand anything from it :D
the base ability its in the first thing in the thread "Channel Ability"
and doesnt all the units STAND in one place while channeling an ability !?

why did u make the timer ? why dont i go straight like

    • Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
  • Conditions -
    • Ability - Ability being cast is equal to Channel
  • Actions -
    • Animation - play (Stand,Channel) for (triggering unit)

And what error is that? There's nothing wrong in Spinnaker's trigger. Have you created a unit variable called u? Post the trigger.

ya i created a unit variable even called it the same udg_u
and to be more sure not to make anymistake in typing i copied the trigger and pasted it
it gave me a compile error
stopped the hole trigger :S
but my variable value was set
udg_u= triggering unit
triggering unit in this case is the unit who casted the ability and its a firelord type
 
@UnHolyDarKness I was using custom script for setting 'u', thats 'udg_' appeared. My post have been fixed.

Just remove 'udg_' part from variable. And look Maker's post above to ensure if you done it correctly.

Advice: next time experiment a bit, use your head - it will help you a lot in futher challenges. Those are realy small issues (and yes everyone wants to help you), although you can help yourself a lot if you try to do such alone. <<<< just an advice.

@spinnaker am a university student which takes almost all my time
so when i have a break i am trying to do it on my own
but i have been inside the world editor for only 2 months and as i see my progress , its very good
