[Solved] Ancient Protector patch 1.00 model?

So while I was playing on patch 1.00, the rooted Ancient Protector had one huge difference. That difference was that when attacking the unit, the protector would turn to the attacked units direction to attack it and then it remain facing that direction afterwards.
Nowadays the protector always faces south (west-ish).

So I extracted the protector model mdx, portrait mdx and blp files from patch 1.00 mpq and imported them into a map, then used that "custom" model (on patch 1.29.2) on the ancient protector but it didn't seem to change anything. The protector was always facing south, not turning around to attack its target.

I was wondering if anyone knows how I can make it turn around and remain facing its target's direction after it's done attacking it.

I added back the bone required for the rotation to the model and it seems to be working fine (1.31)

Dunno if that's a version difference. I also vaguely remember the Root ability being used in tricks to make buildings rotate, so who knows, perhaps there's a problem in there somewhere
