Alleria Windrunner

One of the three Windrunner sisters, Alleria fought in the Second War; and was considered lost, along with her spouse Turalyon, until found in the planet of Argus




The model uses her ported weapon from wow, thought it is remastered to Reforged standards (with recalculated normals, ORM map and Team colour, as well as custom animations).




Update 2/7/21: Changed the icons from .blp to .dds to reduce filesize.


Update 31/08/21: Optimised some diffuses, solved some animation bugs, added spell slam and spell channel animations, added a normal map for the bow, renamed the bow textures.

awesome!!! love it maybe her face can change a bit to male more difference between sylvans face and alleria face, using theeyes colors from high elf sorceress or something but is a great model! congrats!

I'm wondering why is the filesize so big, is it coming from the imported bow mdx/blp?

It has 6 additional textures. The portrait is like 500kb, tho, but Hive insists on making you reupload every single texture that you are using. The model also has a lot of cinematic animations, which also take a large chunk of info.


very cool, but I think she needs Jennalla's skirt to be more like Alleria (I tried doing it myself but alas the skirt keeps on clipping with her legs
I thought of adding her "skirt", but it's a hassle to make skirts work without clipping and they usually look awful.
I also thought of adding the scales on her belly, but that would mean adding 2 extra textures for an irrelevant detail - with the corresponding increase in filesize.
I wanted to add jennalla's beta attack animation as well, but it was also buggy.

  • Try if a normal map for the bow (Nvidia standalone tool usually does a decent job)
  • Cinematic Stand Two (jitter in animation)
  • Please... don't name an element of the texture set just bow_diffuse.dds, it has a great chance of conflicting with another texture in someone's map. Alleria_Weapon_Diffuse.dds would be more original and therefore safe.

I'll try to add the normal map,sure. I dreamt of an interesting way of making super easy normal maps with the diffuse texture and some wits, I'll see if it works properly here.

A way to find decent settings in that standalone tool, is by taking some Reforged diffuse and making it into a normal map, meanwhile comparing it to the original normal map.
So once you found it, you could try those settings on a WoW "diffuse".
