Horrible? I dont know about..how you define horrible or near death.

I have died before technically when I was younger, I can remember it though, had an OBE after hitting the water ......abit..too..hard.....when I went down a giant waterslide with my father, in which I wasn't suppose to.
I saw my body just floating there in the water....just..floating, then next second I was back but climbing myself out of the pool.

Horrible? hmm..horrible and beautiful, the time when I got a bad case of delirium from high fever and saw many pretty and frighting things such as an endless pole in a rainbow tunnel bg thing chasing after me, Satan himself watching me from my door, a giant boot/shoe and a giant, wooden trees made of plastic (made more sense when I was sick) and music that was chasing after me trying to kill me. I was so lost I was laughing at knifes and talking to myself alot and my thoughts were so...err.. "made sense when i was sick but not now"-ish.

a long period that was horrible (but amazing to me, could be from a form of masochism) was when I was suffering a bad case of depression and I kinda "lost my nut" with reality and went all delirious-sadistic-child-like. It was like a dream... a happy dream...but a happy dream filled with nightmares and I suffered from insomnia aswell at that period.

I also have a great fear of zombies and ghosts, but that mainly kicks in at nighttime when I kinda lose it and seeing faces and whispers of ghosts isnt nice when you want to sleep. I dont have that insomnia anymore (which was due to hearing whispers and faces of ghosts and stuff) but I get it every now and then at night, I think I had it afew weeks ago when I was on skype with ef and i kinda lost it. But I havnt had it in ages so I think im pretty fine now.

Those are the most horrible things I can currently think off, horrible and beautiful/amazing they are to me though.

EDIT: oh, and my pet rat dying (first rat), he was my best friend and like a brother to me, I was ...really really sad.......really sad...

i was working with my neighbor at a house doing handyman repairs and i went to get some sheet-rock, but it wasn't your normal sheet-rock. it was the concrete kind of slabs. well a bunch of them were stacked together on their sides and i foolishly pulled like three of them my way and 400+ pounds of concrete slabs fell on me. i hit a fence and one of my legs was free while the weight of the slabs pinned my ankle which was on top of a long wooden beam in an intersecting way.

i screamed and yelled for help but my neighbor was inside with a radio on and the music up. i yelled for anyone but no one was passing by deep in the webbed streets of the community we were in. i had never felt more alone in my life.

finally i decided i had to get myself out of the situation, so i pushed up a few but i couldn't get them all the way up to stay and they came crashing down on me again.*GAHHHHHH*
after yelling a bit more for help i decided to do it again, this time one slab at a time. one by one i got them up and off my ankle.
the lonliness made me feel so bad and i felt a bit angry toward my neighbor but it was not his fault so i told him, "im going home" and then i walked a few miles home.
it never fractured and i don't think there was even a bruise

i regret not using that event to pray to God for help. nonetheless he gave me the opportunity with my one leg and the strength of it and the wisdom to think of how to get myself out of it.. but still i regret not using that perfect time to at the least say something to him.

I nearly died once but that wasnt that bad. Passed out before much of anything. The worst part was after I was revived. My muscles were spasmic because of lack of oxygen as was my digestive system. I would have to say the worst thing was back then when I had to take a crap in a pan in front of everyone. Well that was just embarassing. Painwise though I had once gotten the stomach flu or something and had to take antibiotics. Normally my stomach doesnt like antibiotics too much but I took too many on accident. So I was dry-heaving the entire night. Felt like my heart was gonna explode from the exertion of just throwing up what wasnt there any longer.

i went swimming int he ocean with my brother after a hurricane came by. the current was strong and we were taken 50 feet out. we were tossed around like rag-dolls and lost much energy. finally i crawl back on shore and can't see my brother. i am out of breathe and energy and i was not going to leave my brother. so just as i was walking back into the water i see his head pop up near shore. he crawled out and we sat. we sat and were silent. then i laughed and we got some energy and we left. for 30 mins afetrward i though i was dead. i kept thinking maybe i was and didn't know it.

surprising was not a traumatic experience.
i think God said if you are going back in to save your brother then here, here he is for you.. you will not die now.

I had a couple of experiences that could have had a fatal ending;but most of them are common things happening to everyone...

Theres this time when i wanted to die out of misery, and the second time where i could have been mutilated.

The first time i was at my friends house, and his cousin sister from a foreign country came to visit.I saw her for the first time, she was cute,i liked her and she liked me too,so we were alone in the room, talking nonsense and chatting.I was half-drunk but i managed to control myself and put up with a normal conversation untill i experienced a pain in my stomach and unexpectedly released the loudest, longest fart i ever heard.I was so embarassed and shocked that all the blood started rushing out of my face, and everything around me turned blue(literally).I wanted to die,the girl was embarassed too,but nos as much as me.1 minute after that,i said bye bye to my friend and his cousin and went home, closed myself in my room and didnt come out for about 16 hours.

The second time,it was just a year ago,i was returning from a club with my friends, and i saw this chinaese guy pull out a cleaver and attack everyone within his line of sight.I was in the middle of the most crowded street in my town,so there werent any rocks or bars that i could have used to hit him,and i didnt really want to approach a lunatic with a cleaver bare-handed,but my mind just went blank when i saw him,so i didnt even run, just took a few steps back.It was all over the news papers, some psycho lost his job,and started slashing everyone,no one died, but some guys nose was chopped off.The rest of the people were just badly cut.He didnt see me,if he did,hed prolly chop me up as well.I was like,6 ft away from him.He was too busy running around.

By the way Wulf: Do you smoke something?

Worst thing I ever experienced.. Gymnastics, last year of the lower school.
I was balancing over a horizontal ladder (-----) with round beams. I was almost at the end but I slipped with my foot. And right on the second last beam was a big bolt. My whole leg grinded against and whole leg was gutted with blood. But I'm a doesnt-complain-much guy now, but back there I cried
hardcore style. It hurts :<
And I have a big scar on me leg.

When I was about 12, my friends and I were "investigating" an abandoned construction site. When we had 'secured' the first floor we started chasing each other. I chased this small guy. He turned by the corner, I was 1 meter behind him. The next moment I see him falling down this freekin' pit, one story high. I stopped just in time not to fall as well. When we got down to get him out he had his liver thorn and most of his ribs cracked. He barely made it to the hospital alive. I once fell out of a tree. It happened too fast for me to feel anything about it, but it knocked the wind out of me and I lost consciousness, so I might not remember it exactly as it happened.
Oh, there's the scar. Barely noticeable at all.

I wonder if anyones story here is actually true. I dont know whats going on with you people, god damn killing yourselves every day. Worst thing that happened to be was i got a big scratch on the side of my leg because of a weird metal beam thing 2 construction workers were carrying fell next to my leg. It didnt hurt that much. And the scar is gone now.

Oh, if we're talking about the worst injuries we've sustained, my right eardrum ruptured when I was 5. Blood, ear wax and nondescript fluids flew like it was the goddamn Nile. We eventually got to a doctor and... I have no idea what they did to fix it, but they did. It's a bloody (no pun intended) miracle I can still hear out of that ear now.

when i was little i was feeding a rabbit and it bit through my nail+thumb and mangled it, also when i was older at around age 5 i was having a scissor fight with a kid and he cut open my thumb and blood everywhere. and oddly, I have no scar..which is rather odd, i have a normal thumb and no scar. My fingers and such are one of the only areas I REALLY DISLIKE being cut.

Can I complimente you with the fact you are very creepy on a nice way

When I was 8 I dangled on a 1 centimetre thick bamboorope in our vacantion hut, I took a little leap and flew right through it on the bricked garden (full of bricks), my whole leg was open. :c And no bandages in the house! >_< And no hospital on the island! We had to use some other stuff like toilet paper.

1) That I fell off of a slide when I was four and broke my arm.
2) That some girl who liked me, now likes another dude, but I still like her (and it was a real relationship, not a crush).
3) When I was about 8, I kept swallowing sea water at the beach somehow. Each time I went in, it came to my mouth. Really disgusting... eurgh...

EDIT: Also, I've fallen over or injured myself many times, I've got like, 4 stitches (well, small scars now). All gained when I was younger the 5 (count the 1st one above).

Eh, when i was younger, i sometimes jumped off the top of the climbing frame that used to exist in the back of my garden, it was taller than me, about 1.5m high, and when i landed my back hurt so much and i had to stay in a crouch for a while.

I was also sat on my brothers shoulders walking home from school once, he fell with me on my shoulders and i hit my head hard on a street lamp, hurt, alot.

I also was at a trampolining club, tried to do a front fall or whatever you call them, landed awkwardly, hurt my back AND my neck...

That means you stretched/used your backmuscles too fast and/or too had. You get instant pain, I have it sometimes too at gymnastic or on the trampoline.

I was swimming at a beach in North Carolina when a jellyfish was washed up my trunks by the waves. Thankfully, it wasn't a very powerful zapper, but I had a rash all over my legs and nads for like a week, totally ruining my vacation.

Well another unpleasent time was when I got into a fist fight at my old school a while back, took the wind out of me. But I gave the bloke a Nose bleed in one square hit, you should've seen his face... and mine...

same thing happened to me once

I was riding my bike once and i got hit in the head by a ball, lost control of the bike and hit a jagged piece of metal, it tore my leg open, and i had to get stitches. 'Twas a very pain full day.

I have a happy and empty life.

The closest I've ever come to death (or a situation that could have led to other people's death) was during a summer trip...

We were coming back and the trailer (which had all our stuff in it) broke. The little ball thing blew away, and the only thing that was keeping it in place was the chain, so the trailer was drifting left and right like crazy until it broke off, rolled over 4 lanes until it hit the side of the road.

No one was hurt, and miraculously, no cars hit the trailer. Luckily it didn't break off in the tunnel we were going to pass through... there are so many ways it could have been lethal.
