A bullet system.

Is there a way to make a bullet(any projectile) appear and upon contact with someone deal damage? and even do special effects? if this is possible please notify me, and a picture of how to make one would be great!

EDIT: can something like this be done in GUI, also, is it possible to shorten how long he shoots the weapon?

well, its doable in GUI but it will be very long... and I believe there is a GUI projectile system out there in the spell section, just use the search function
