Hello all.

My apologies if I'm missing something really obvious in the FAQ, but these problems have really been holding up my map making recently. Hopefully someone here can answer them.

1) Is there any way to make a unit look like it's ethereal without actually being ethereal? In other words, can you give a unit the cool transparent yellowish look and still allow it to attack things?

2) How would I make a spell or item display the butterflies of Faerie Fire (the ones that appear on the target) above the caster's head when the spell is cast?

Massive thanks in advance.

1) I know that using the trigger Animation - Change Unit Vertex Coloring will work, and I think that giving it the "Ghost" ability will work.
2) There are a couple ways that you can do this:
a) In your spell, under the field Art - Target, input the path Abilities\Spells\NightElf\FaerieFire\FaerieFireTarget.mdl you might also have to input the string “origin” under Art - Target Attachment Point 1.
b) Do what is described I option a, but in a buff and give the buff to the spell under the field Stats - Buffs.
c) If the first two options don't work, post here, and I'll tell you how to trigger it.
