    I explained it time and time again. I don't have the time to work on such a campaign. It would take me months to work on one map, and even then it wouldn't be very good. I would say Alternate is my most original work. There are plenty of Wc1/Wc2 remakes. And that campaign will be covered by Chronicles of the Second War in the future, so why should I bother making my own, when they have similar ideas (Wc2 maps with Wc3 balance)? SC1 and SC2 already have their race-swapped campaigns, so I think Wc3 should have its own. I know W3A started on the wrong foot. The original idea was to use as little custom assets, make as little changes and keep things vanilla, but the scope evolved, and now I'm retroactively improving the older campaigns. W3A has created a nice community where a lot of people are looking forward to the next maps and campaigns, especially Terror of the Pit, which will feature 2 entirely new races to take the places of the Watchers and the Naga. And a lot of them are theorizing about the future, which I have to say makes me proud to know that some people are invested in my project.

    PS: I've stated that anyone can continue it on their own if they want. So if you really want to see it complete, you should talk to someone who might want to continue it from where I left it.

    While filming the Alternate HD Reforged video showcase, I encountered several crashes and a lot more frame drops than usual. Due to high memory usage, some other programs crashed along with Reforged (Discord and Chrome). It depends on what you want to do. I'm happy Alternate is mainly a 1.31 campaign series, because right now 1.31 is a safe haven. It has its problems, but it's pretty much safe from whatever happens to the current version

    I'm asking so I'd know if I should review with the current patch or not. But weird crashes might be confused with author trigger errors so that's not good. I'll wait more for proper fix and tend to pre-1.32 maps.

    I haven't tried getting an archived 1.32 and probably won't in the near future. If it works on 1.32, you probably should review it on 1.32.

    If you are talking about the next Warcraft III Alternate Campaign, Spirituality's End, a beta version of it is already playable. As for when the next map will be released, I don't have a clear date. Warcraft III Alternate will always remain on patch 1.31.1, and can be played in later versions using my Campaign Splitter.

    To avoid going off-topic in that other thread, I'll note here: the way that I took a screenshot of the purple bear next to the others was to change the texture file it was loading to use the path _tilesets/c.w3mod:units\Creeps\GrizzlyBear\BrownBear.blp
    As far as I know, that colon notation would only work on 1.32 and maybe 1.31 or 1.30, though.

    Because I don't have enough spare time to develop a campaign from scratch, I make horrible terrain and map layouts and I have a lot more fun working on Alternate than on BtDP (with Alternate I can do a lot more stuff with custom Tech Trees since I can change the lore in a lot of ways without changing the main story). Maybe after Alternate, I'll return to that one, but only if someone helps me with it. I am not able to finish that campaign on my own. After editing so many official Warcraft III maps I've learned a lot about things like AI scripts and unit balancing, so if I would return to BtDP, I would change a lot of things.

    For the first question: Yes. You can see it in the changelog of that campaign. You unlock it by completing Chapter 9 or you can jump into it by typing '-t' in the chat in the first mission (this unlocks all missions).
    For the second: I am not sure. The heroes are complete. I still have to work on the AI, cinematics and gameplay. You can check my discord server for updates.

    Hey I am very interested in the idea of this campaign and so I downloaded it and moved it to the campaign folder on Warcraft. Same as I have done for other campaigns however once the game is open I can't find the option for Warcraft 3 alternate, I had deleted and then download the campaign once again but even now it doesn't show up at my custom campaign menu, so I wanted to confirm does this campaign not work on patch 1.27.1.7085 ?

    Probably not since I created it using the 1.31 version. Use that version to play it properly.

    It is a huge undertaking. If anyone wants to complete it I am happy to let them. I am also sad I couldn't finish it, but it takes a long time and I sadly don't have the time to create maps from scratch. That's why I've been doing the alternate campaigns.

    1. Be sure to play on the latest version of 1.31, non-PTR Warcraft 3.
    2. Be sure to put it in Documents/Warcraft III/Campaigns, not Program Files/Warcraft III/Campaigns.

    3. Be sure to put it in the base folder so Campaigns/mycampaign.w3n, not Campaigns/Some/Other/Folders/mycampaign.w3n
    4. Be sure to keep the name small. The name I have given it is small enough, but if you add too many characters to it, it won't be seen in game.

    question for u about your 2 player bonus campaign. how does the 2P thing work, cause I have tried to play it with another but it never loads correctly, I don't know which file to put it in to start with and wither I need to have it on 2 PC's to work it right

    the host need to put all maps in his map folder (...\Documents\Warcraft III\Maps). First create a game with the one that has a picture of Rexxar. type difficulty as it says. Whenever you go to a map transition, go to F10->save game and save it with the name it says in the chat. Both players quit the game. Than create a new multiplayer game. If it is the first time you are going into that map, create a new game, if you have been there before, create a game from your load file. type -loadstart and than paste the codes form ...\Documents\Warcraft III\Custom Map Data\, it should say in the chat which document it is in

    (Post) Played on 1.7/1.71. The cinematic facing was very subtle, probably Blizzard's fault. The losing spell point 100% occurred, but it came back, so I don't think it is important. More people need to play and comment if you really want to identify the issue.

    Hello,

    I'm one of the makers for the co-op mode of the Scourge Campaign. We have recently done an update to the campaign, which includes replacing the Banshee Hero's Cold Arrows spell with Dark Spirits, just as you've suggested to us in a previous post. I thank you for your input so far and hope that the spell changes improve the map for other players as well :)

    So you have a problem with the World Editor, you want to create a campaign but your World Editor doesn't have any "Game Cache" triggers :cgrin: ... Well here's the solution, firstly... Download the latest patch, second... Open your World Editor then TADAA!!! You have the "Game Cache" trigger... :cgrin:
