Hey I have a question regarding modelling. Seeing as you're the big man when it comes to special effects I figured you're the right person to ask. I have an idea that I want to put to life, but I'm not sure it's actually possible. How would I go about making simulated heat shimmer? I was thinking maybe some smart application of alpha textures could give the desired results, but being a complete noob I wanted some expert advice before I attempt doing it myself.
