  • Haha, sorry for that. I really never knew how that happen. :/

Hmmm.. A new project? Ooooh, its kinda cool to hear. I can't wait to hear any information about it. :D
No problem. :) By the way, how's the progress of colorful mushroom looking-like puzzle? I like the concept of it. :D
    Hey matey!
Sorry for my inactivity on the Hive and anything Warcraft related really. Are you still working on the map I started terraining and if so are you still interested in collaboration?
That much is clear, I'll keep my complaints away from threads for a while longer, gotta cut Ralle some slack.
I have found my map here again (Labyrinth of Nightmare, needs fix), but it was very difficult to find it again, the old Hive was clearer. I am just preparing the next update.

Agreed! I have some trouble finding my way around here still :D
Oh okay. I'm done with it though. :)

    Wich one? Dark Depths?

Yeah, the only left thing is to post here though. But its hard post here. I don't know how. :D

This might be a lot easier than the old system though!
Private messaging is also a lot easier now, as you can see the entire coversation there now, instead of just the latest message, asssuming that the other party quoted your latest message. :)
Well I wanted to make it beautiful, I guess I need your expertise from there on.
I can only imagine tilesets that wouldn't affect functionality... :/ But that would seem dull too again...
    Hi, Rufus.

Is there a chance that a map can be rated again? My map has been rated where there were MANY fatal bugs I have fixed already, also where there were so many unbalances... I don't know if the rating formula for most maps can be applicable to my map though since terrain height and obstructions are a part of the game mechanics to block sight range...
So I'm done with Forest Temple. :D

    ----------
Did you kill all the tentacles in the room?
    ----------
Not yet, its kinda hard with healing monster.

The other questions still in progress though. :)
Its okay. But I'm currently playing on Forest Temple, I manage to get pass the force wall that I'm pointing out to you, so I will answer that later. :)
Oh, so strange. Anyways, I will download the latest version, and try it again, so I can finish the review. By the way, I don't know what to do in the Dark Depths. I'm kinda stuck in the pile of explosive barrel. Any explanation? :)
When somebody really does that, you are free to send it back to needs fix straightaway. The point is, if you do that, always tell the user why. You must never change the status of a map without explaining why, no matter the circumstances.
You cannot send a map back to needs fix without a new review, not even if it is awaiting a new review.
So, I skip first the Forest Temple, and play the Dark Depths. But I'm lost at the dark cave and I don't have any ideas to do there. Any idea what I'm gonna do there? I manage to reach the pile of explosive bomb and saw a lot of tentacles, and died. I read the walkthrough, and there's no explanation further there. It only ends here:

    ----------
    31. Once out on the other side, you'll find yourslf in a dark cave.
    ----------
I think I'm almost at the end of Dark Depths, right? :)
Yes, there is forcewall blocking my way to the 3rd mini boss. Here's a screenshot:
    [stable][/stable]
I already activated the levers and killed all the wisps, but nothing happens. And now, I'm stuck there. :(
    No, none at all. :3

So for now, I'm currently playing Forest Temple, but I'm kinda stuck on the North Door, which is there is a force wall blocking my way. I tried reading the walkthrough, but I didn't quite understand this:

    ----------
    23. Once they all are defeated, go back to the main chamber and enter the door to the north. You'll find yourself in a corridor where there were forcewalls before, before you deactivated them using hte levers and killing the wisps. Enter the door to the North.
    ----------
I already activated the levers and cleared the wisps, but nothing happens when I enter the corridor. :/
I didn't know the VM was late, this is suppose to be hours ago though. Anyways, I'm done with both Solen's Sanctuary and Bonechiller Burrow. I will start Forest Temple as soon as possible. :D
Hi, Rufus. Just to let you know that I'm done with Solen's Sanctuary. And now, I'm currently playing the Bonechiller Burrow. :)
Version 5 will be just awesome, added 2 riddles, improved terrain (now i think the terrain is enough, i have nearly 8000 doodads and will need the special editor). The text (units, items, abilities) will all be translated. And the best: A hardcore trap + new legend. Artifact will be added in the Lost Forest.
In the next version (5) the items, units and abilities will be translated too.
Yes actually I noticed it, looks less night elvish and more mysterious I think, good for such a campaign imo :)
Wise idea, my sagacious friend. Forsake the old and embrace the new, because only then will your map finally thrive and allow you to reach the eternal harmony!

Time for a sitrep on the maps section. Scouts report that a needs-fix campaign appeared in the section after it had been abandoned to inactivity for long. Since our soldier SCN fell in battle, we'll need to deal with it ourselves.
They also intercepted chatter a new campaign called Shadows of Hatred made its way through and is now causing lots of discussion. We need to strike surgically and remove these campaigns as soon as possible.

Ok, seriously, which one will you take? SoH or the other? We don't want to work on the same campaign and find out one of us wasted so much time :p
Sweet! I'll try it out again soon!
One last thing, that I missed out to tell, is that at some point the music stopped playing, I think this was after going to the upper level of the mountain where the lich was, with the whispers looping over, so after going back down, the music didn't resume.
    Thanks. :)

Actually, its night right now in our place. Maybe, I should start tonight. :D

    OF COURSE! I have one. it's wingcrusher12

Hey buddy, Is there any way to contact you outside Hiveworkshop?
So I played Bonechiller Burrow, managed to get past the slippery slope cliff without much issue towards the performance, I found other minor things around though.

One was for instance that the bridge just below that obstacle lets you walk over the walls below it a little.

Another was finding the rune tiles randomly in the dungeon at irrelevant places (Unless they actually do something and I didn't realize yet)
    These are the locations:

[IMG][IMG][IMG]This last one was more obvious, so I genuinely thought that I had to do something with it :D like find out what was the other rune next to it, like the rune that is covered with stones at the begining of the dungeon, but I tried all combinations and none worked, so it led me to believe that it's just a random placed tile, but I think if it doesn't serve any purpose it could be removed to avoid confusion (Or alternatively add a bonus for it?)

Finally, the last issue I had, which was the major one, was that I couldn't progress through the dungeon further after activating the first two obelisks, I headed to the north room where the frost trap was, and managed to see the zombie humanoid-mini boss from the other side, but the corridor is blocked with stones, and I can't pass through, and neither can he.

[IMG]I decided to read through the walkthrough then and noticed that the blocked passage is mentioned nowhere, and just directly tells you to head to the miniboss, so I found it quite strange (Unless I'm missing something here?)

I even accelerated the process before that and solved the circles puzzle and headed to the peak where the Lich was, except he was untouchable, so I figured there was nothing to do there until I activated all the obelisks.
    ----------
Answered the review on the map. :)
    ----------
Oh great! I wasn't sure wheter to post that here or there since I find VMs faster for the receiver to read, since there's no notification for threads when you post (Unless email but it's annoying).

    ----------
Oh, I was never bathered with the elevation to be honest. Didn't feel like it was needed, and it causes problem with map borders. There is an easy fix for this though: I can just detect the wardens Z position and lock the camera height accordingly, with an update every 0.02 seconds.
    ----------
That would be nice, although it only happens in areas with cliffs and bridges, like the one outside Bonechiller Burrow, in plain fields there won't be any elevation discrepancy, so if only those areas had regions detecting if you're inside, to activate the periodic detection, it may not affect performance. That said, I heard once periodic updates don't need a lower value than 0,03 seconds, because the human eye wouldn't see a difference, but as long as there's no difference with the performance it's fine :D

    ----------
    Good idea!
Might be useful for edging closer to a more exact position. I'll experiment here a little!
    ----------
That's pretty much the only thing I dislike about the arrow key system really, it has a Legend of Zelda feeling on itself which is great, but the lack of sensitivity on quick arrow presses to move little is what prevented me from enjoying it as such :)
I wanted to propose the first option (X and Y coordinates only) but I was afraid you'd tell me it would simplify the game too much.
    Hell, go for it then!
So I finished up Solen's Sanctuary, and I gotta admit I loved it overall, after being my second playthrough it it felt so short though :D probably because I cleared the areas I did last time much faster than back then, I also proudly solved the last puzzle (Took me about 20 minutes).

Solen seemed kind of easy granted that I can dash away from him forever pretty easily until I find out how to beat him, maybe his speed was a little too slow?

His attack phases were pretty right on the spot though, pretty intense overall, as long as he isn't just chasing me down to ground-attack me.

In the end, I got a Victory message again, I assume you made that for all missions, like I said before I think you can remove that for all of them in fact, in case you weren't planning to. I didn't get a crash this time though, but the amount of time it took for the map to close was ridiculous, like almost a minute since the moment I pressed Continue, to return to the Campaign's menu.

Also, I am pretty sure that after finishing the last puzzle, while I was killing those firelord minions, the screen blinked for a moment, like when it was asking me to skip the color tile puzzle, only that it didn't bring any dialog, just a very quick fade filter blink, so I assume the trigger reminder wasn't fully deactivated yet, it didn't show back after that though.

Still, going to try the next dungeon now c:
