Well, I could have kept working on it, of course, had I seen a point in that. But without my modeller friend and an icon creator, for a game that's close to death (try to find a proper game on Bnet...), it's just meh.
The engine gives me freedom. And a lot of experience of course. Oh, how much! I've never felt this good before in my life. It's amazing. Now of course it's still fairly far from being actually usable for something, but I've already got a lof of things implemented. Actually, it may not be that from from being usable. I mean it's got support for scripting in the form of an embedded python interpreter, it can load meshes & textures, it has a feature-rich UI, it can generate terrain from heightmaps, render in HDR, motion blur, depth of field, layered fog, FXAA, a pseudo-len's flare, camera vignettes, color luts, it can also render scriptable particles & beams and supports various light types. Now of course, nothing is perfect, and everything needs some or a lot of additional work, but still, for a one man project and having completed only an introduction course to graphics, I think it's pretty decent.
I might actually put something together using my engine, one day. Who knows? I plan on doing everything I can, for educational purposes, mostly, and it might actually become something usable.
