I am making some progress. I managed to get the "out of vision"-bug fixed, kinda. I tried the method of searching for destructables in a rect by the order point, and at the start of the game, it doesn't work. I made a counter to see how many destructables are in the rect, and it always turns up zero.

After some time though, and i don't know why, i can target trees out of vision just fine, and the worker goes off harvesting like normal, but the same does not go for gold mines or stone mines. I dunno if it has to do with their pathing being larger, but i am testing that now.

If it has to do with this, then there might be some problems with resources that have a large pathing, since i would have to expand the search range. If the search range is too large, harvesters will start harvesting resources in range even if you just told them to move next to it, and that might be annoying. Also, the counter i did still shows up "0 destructables found", even in the case of the working trees, but that might just be my counter that is broken.
(Can't remember if I've done this before...)
Hey ndh. I was reading this closed thread, and wanted to make sure you knew that GTW is indeed dead, but it is entirely uploaded for everyone to use. The link is in my signature. You're welcome. :p Have fun.
Good news is i solved the issue with harvesters attacking their resources. They are now completely incapable of doing this. So really, as far as i remember, it is just the issue with resources outside of vision left. If i ever find time i will try to fix this, but next week and for almost a month forward, i will be having visitors to attend to.
lol, perhaps because we live on opposite sides of the planet.
There has been a situation with my girlfriend. I don't know if i will be able to work on this for a forseable amount of weeks. I wish you the best of luck on the map though.
Hey, just wanted to say that i have installed wc3 with B-net on my laptop now, so i am free to play KtC with you, should you ever want!
I don't think that would be good to make as a complete model, especially with a harvesting animation. In such an animation you would need a worker that cuts down each part of wheat one by one. That would result in a ridiculous amount of work and filesize. I'd rather advice you to use separate smaller 'wheat plants' that grow and can be harvested independently and are placed in a field form through triggers. That saves a lot of filesize, work AND looks better (in my opinion).
Hmm I'm already working on a bunch of different models, but it depends what it is. If it's something I already planned to do or something I'd need too I may prioritise on it.
Though I don't do units (too much animation work, I'm not good at it) just buildings, doodads, etc.
Hey, yea goes quite well. As you see I've still time to do some wc3 modding/modeling from time to time.
And how are you doing? Would be really cool if you'd work on/finish your KtC project.
Hey there, I've been completely smothered in studies for most of this year and haven't had much time for modding. I also have this other new (very pretty) hobby who has been taking up a lot of my time. ;)
How are things going with your project?
Hello I am rly late to answer ur ivitation, I am not sure will I join because of my weak internet and I have some strict requests that have to be accepted if u want me as modeler:

1.I do not do unit models, only because I am not skilled in creating realistic humanoid animations.
2.I can create u animated/non animated building only if u give me some pictures.
3.Weapon/attackment/shield/tree models I can do without pictures
    4. Pictures must be in rar or zip files to I can dl them.
My rules are not too hard so what say u?
I've done it and given it you?? Ohhh you mean the edit I was telling you about before I dc? I've done that ;) I'm on my iPod so I can't give you the link but can you be on chat around 11pm GMT +10 time?
    Slow at the moment...
Will show you a preview using a WoW Human Male model with default WcIII-RoC Human Campaign Footman skin soon...
I will trim the model down a little to reduce the size...
So you want me to extract the WcIII-RoC Human Campaign Footman model and edit the body/skin from there to fit your requirement...?
I can try using WoW skin if you want (since the skin mapping is almost similar for both)...
I will have to alter the body to match the texture style...
Unless you are referring to the WcIII-RoC Human Campaign Footman model...
Here's the 2nd WIP screenshot with a basic skin (my texture making skill are kinda bad)....

I am guessing there will be 1-hand sword/mace/axe (plus shield) attachments and 2-hand spear/halberd/greatsword attachment for this model...
However, do tell me what animations would you like the Infantry model to have which may be suitable in your map...
    Sorry bout that...
Right now doing a little skinning while working on your model and another from someone back and forth...

One of your PM stated you are going to use weapon attachments on the model, does that include bows and crossbow...? If so, should I include crossbow/bowstring and arrows...

Another thing, what type of weapon are you going to equip on the model... Cause by knowing the type of weapon will help me arrange/make suitable animations for the 'equipments'...
Unfortunately not :/ I wanted to help out people but I was overambitious. It takes a lot of work and time to make the models. When I'm not off for breaks I'm very busy at university and I need to spend the time that I do have working on my portfolio.
