  • Hey anyways. You know the maps I was working on? Yeah well I gave them up.

    I am Currently working on City Of Death RPG ;)

    Seriosly man is good. You start in a dense forrest where you have no idea where you have been or how you got there. you head towards the city seen in the distance. However there is more than just a long walk to contend to. There is quests from people who are random npcs,weapons, cars, boats, helicopters, explosions, Romance (Uhhh... maybe not.) and plot.

    ;) Concept coming through!
    Well, the map isnt rly playable yet(no creeps runing, no items in market, no gold respawn) , nut everything else done...

    I agree that helping the small people is much more satisfying. As you may remember I used to be a really small person and am moving up yo only a small person.

    What happens when person releases key?

    I could do the same with unit groups and ability being cast, but I'm not sure if I want to...
    I was thinking that somekind of ability would make a negative/positive buff on your hero and while in that buff it would move to that direction.
    Actually, I was working on a map, a sort of Warcraft Fps-ish thing, that used the ball system and randomly deformed terrain.

    I havent been working on it for a while now, so if you or anyone else wants to pick up where I left off, be my guest.

    I can make it continue to work... but It won't stop unless I make the person press it twice...

    I can easily do it with arrow keys...
    I'm going to have to look into jass for this...

    Now the Turning System i plan to make independent from the actual Movement by making a bunch of Orbs that hover in front of your camera, And you right click them to turn your camera towards them

    But the Actual Movement is based on
    Event-Unit Casts an Ability
    Condition-Ability is equal to Left
    Action-Put unit into Unit group "Move Left"

    Event-Every 1 second
    Condition-unit is In "left Group"
    Action-Move unit "6 distance" to "facing unit + 90"

    Right now, I'm assuming its gunna Have to use two Click System... but... Hopefully I can figure out another way like a Remove/Create Ability Thing that Takes in the button being pressed
    -Ability is casted
    --Remove Ability
    --Create Ability
    --Run this trigger checking conditions

    Otherwise to stop the movement it would be
    Event-unit Casts Ability
    Conditions-Ability is Left
    Conditions-Unit is in Left Group
    Actions-Remove unit From Left group
