I just wandered, do you want to see a preview map of finished things? Because, I've done everything to 75% and then stopped with it, to do something else. Unbelievable, but seven heroes are "Pending" because they leak, they don't have good synergy or they're overpowered. Or their spells don't work.

Would it be possible to release a map that showcases the new balance features for the old heroes, new gameplay features and new visuals whatnot but hides the new and unfinished heroes? I think this approach would be best as a preview map, as it does so without spoiling the unfinished new heroes. The new heroes would be best made available when it's at least considered done by you, Apheraz.

I was trying to make the modes of AP and AR today, but failed so bad. I was really hoping for implementing them in this version.

By the way, I got some news from a friend who quit on DotA. He's now turned on my map, and that's another minor that got me working harder than usual.

Implemented a Tree Resurrection System
Implemented a Creep Resurrection System
Added four new creep camps, following Tamerleine's suggestions
Added a time clock to the places of lumber and food
Leaver's gold is now equally split among allies during the game
Many abilities got their description improved, thanks to Leak-
Shop (Recipes) is now splited into: Offensive Items, Defensive Items, Suporting Items and Spellcasting Items
Serathil's Bash now properly goes to Ranged -> Melee, and Melee -> Ranged types
Camera is coded to go much smoother

The Skirmisher hurls an envenomed coctaile towards his target. Upon impact, the Motolov will burst in explosion, dealing damage over time and slowing affected enemy units. Has AoE of 300 and lasts for 6 seconds.
Level 1 - 10% slow, 70 duration damage.
Level 2 - 20% slow, 140 duration damage.
Level 3 - 30% slow, 210 duration damage.
Level 4 - 40% slow, 280 duration damage.
Cooldown: 12
Mana Cost: 90, 100, 110, 120


Wind Dancer:

There is an incorrect buff icon for using minor rejuvenator; the status uses healing potion icon instead of the minor rejuvenator icon. check screenshot.

A method to check creep stats(kills and denies) could be used. Did you leave out this on purpose or no? On the same note related to creeps, it seems that dire grizzlies are a lot bigger in size than grunts are. This could potentially be kind of visual imbalance - would it be possible to size the grizzlies closer to that of grunts? or switch bears to another type of creep related to Elune's Warriors? If you are open to this, I will try to provide some unique suggestions!

does boots of speed give +60 or +50? or is -ms incorrect? Vestal Princess base movement speed is 300. When I put on boots and type -ms, it says MS is 360. check screenshot. Also, you can truncate the movement speed; there isn't really a need to show the decimal places.

in the mini portrait the altar of elders is facing to the right, but in game the altar of elders is facing to the left. is this an unintended inconsistency? The altar of darkness does not exhibit this problem.

Pnademonious's Storm Strike: the tooltip should mention how often the stun occurs. or the passive icon could have a cooldown whenever it does go into cooldown.

if you play single player and play on the orc horde team (as color = orange) with no allies nor enemies, you get zero gold at the start of the game.

Do you think it would still be helpful to review tooltips for any errors?

I have some suggestions which I got when I tested it:
Make "Attribute Bonus"es for each roles as like Dps:es will get big bouns at strength and very low at intelligence.
and then etc.
I thinked that about there are blizzard map which have that.

But I don't know about that can be suitable for DotA-maps

Howdy ho! Review incoming.

Bugs/problems:
-Mana ward doesn't need a circlet, even though it says it does in the recipe info
-I got gold when the other team killed my creep building.
-The shield item that should block damage does more than block damage, it heals me for the amount of damage I take while under the effect of it.
-With my hero (Elainiel hero) the shield item bugged together with the sprint ability, making me invulnerable by using both at the same time for long time and behaving weird, I don't know why, based on the same abilities?
-I can still run around killing everything if I am dead when one of the teams win, when I ressurect I can run around.

Balance/Hero/Item suggestions:
-The sprint ability on moon rose gave maximum ms for 15 seconds, that is quite crazy, it should just buff for some seconds, it could for instance give me lots of ms and unitwalking for three seconds instead or something like that, makes it more original as well.
-The ogre warchief dude was quite unoriginal and boring to play. Two weird passives and an attackspeed aura and frost nova? No synergy at all on that hero, and the spells is quite lame. I have a hero idea I used for ogre Warchief in a project that was never done, and could send/write you the idea if you'd like to get some inspiriation?
-The moon rose was quite boring as well. Damage, damage, damage, ms as spells. I mean, A little more creativity please? D: I can scrap together some suggestions to keep the hero as it is but with more originilaty, but not now,because I am tired as hell :p

Overall:
-The game should more or less be over when one team kills the rax/creepbuilding, they are barely getting buffed here, they get like 30 more hp and 5 damage more than non-buffed creeeps. It is ridicolous.
-You are still gaining very little experience. I was level 16 after 40 minutes, and I was alone in my team. With three people you would'nt be 16 until 1.5 h the very fastest. A map like this should be fastpaced. 40 minute for a full game tops, in my opinion.
-Creeps does not respawn in the woods.

That is it for now, I'll will come with more reviews when I get the time, hope it helps :)

Apart from that, good to see all the new items and recipes and heroes.

Hey, I haven't left Hive or the Life! I am in the middle of nuclear cathastrophe, and what was suposed to be a perfect vacation turned in a battle for life. Sorry for not answering or providing more info, but I am in hurry, my boyfriend is heavily injured. Just a note, there will be great deals of new things in map, including terrain. I knew you wouldn't forsake me! Just a quick note: 6 new heroes and lots of items :)
Also expect a hell of new stuff :D Just few tips: Runes are in the New Terrain, and the Elune's warriors are battling again against New Enemy! Will you Switch for other team and use new Hotkeys, earn the Godlike awards, or slay Triple of enemies?

uhmm...well you can ask ele to take over your project for awhile if your really busy,i could help you do stuffs to ^^ any basic stuff like writing descriptions and changing hero stat,etc.Gotta test your map now ^^
Tested:You should put in more description in the quest log,putting modes and test commands will help us test the map better,I realized your skills need more synergy,if skills relate to the hero it'll make it more interesting.I'll find more when I'm free :x

Since I play too much 3v3 LoL, this I like very much. The map size, the concept the "breathtaking battles"

I'm d/ling as we speak and can't wait to try out.

MY REVIEW

Overall this map dissapointed me. I thought it would be a great 3v3 massacre, but as I played I found more flaws to it than I would think and the gamestyle proved boring after the first 10 minutes. I am sorry but your map has more gloss than use, it looks better when you see it here than when you play it ingame. You might want to go, download my Pro War map and learn about massacre maps and unique-ness. My triggers are open, use whatever you want just give credits. You don't have a simple AI, you know bots just go attack and use spells.


Pros

[*] Map is balanced, terrain and base like

[*] There are enough items to go around, usually people fill their merchants up to the cap, just so there be a big variety of items, no matter how badly they are. You however have good variety of items

[*] Creeps and neutral creeps are equally balanced

[*] I love the one lane attack!

[*] The camera smoothness impressed me! I've seen that in few maps and don't know what it is, but its great


Cons

[*] The map size is HUGE! I got bored and tired of walking for minutes to my base and back to the battlefield. You don't have a teleport spell or maybe a speed enhancement boost every hero should have. Nobody likes that much walking mate... its easier to die and lose gold than to adventure for minutes from base to battlefield.

[*] The creeps are randomly spit in the jungle and since I could heal and tank the Mammoth which is 8 Level and I was level 1 then it proves I can own any creep in the jungle at such low levels. What happens when I get max level?

[*] There aren't much unique spells, played the Skirmisher and he has 3 passive spells. Yea really cmon, how is that unique and balanced? Some heroes have 3 active spells, require mana, cooldowns and effect but I can just auto attack that hero with my poison, trueshot aura and the range enhancement aura. I don't even have to buy lifesteal, cuz I will just level his health down in a second. Not sure if you are impressed with Dota's Naix, but nowadays even him has only 2 passive skills.

[*] There are 2 Moon Wells and 2 Voodoo Huts that serve no purpose and are off course for creeps to kill. Are those ment for players to backdoor, kill and earn extra gold?

[*] When I destroyed their Beastiary of whatever its called, it said "Elune's warriors denied a tower" you have a bug there with the text. We are talking about the orc's building before the War Fortress.

[*] Lots of items are dota replicas. There is no ranged lifesteal item besides just buying the mask. If your gonna create an item base for each class to have, then create some for ranged too.

[*] I get no gold for my enemy's tower being destroyed. That's just bad... I died twice so I can destroy the tower because I didn't want my army to wander minutes across the map to get there and I didn't get gold because the creeps killed it. That's lame.

[*] Map has no AI. This is mandatory for all maps, but this map could benefit from an AI. It doesn't have to be dota like, just a plain simple, run attack cast spells retreat AI.


Everyone can troll or flame me for not liking this map. And I expect it since you got lots of rep and are well known around the community.

sentrywiz, thanks for your stunning review. As you might know, this project hasn't been updated for more than four months, since I was in Japan with my boyfriend while the... accidents, happened. Since then, LW has evolved pretty much. The newest version I am about to release (Already BETA tested with 4 different teams) now carries the version of 1.27, and therefore, many new things have been balanced / added / repaired. However, thanks for your pretty much nice review, and I am looking forward to post the new LW and update the thread in this week (Time lacking: I also judge at Short Story Contest #7). Hoping that I can get another review afterwards.

Edit: Oh, I lol'd. Reputation does not mean user is better or on higher stage than others. It's just rewards for doing random things, and since I participate really everywhere... And no one is gonna flame or troll at you, actually, reviews are there to help improve the map. It's my mistake I haven't updated it recently.

And I don't know you hence I had no idea you were a girl or about any accident. Accidents where?
I've had talk with some users who were famous in the community who thought like that and others who might not have known the topic or the problem but they generally agree if that user agrees.

Okay, the new LW is here! I will post changelog later, and I hope for some long, descriptive reviews. Long ones. Really long.
Legendary War still beats up everything with it's low map size, ideal for online hosting.

Edit: First post edited, and the whole thread changed to fit the new LW.

Updating my review with the newest version of the map released.

MY REVIEW

This version of the map is much better, but still lacks the basic needs in my first review. Can say you shortened the map, making it smaller and less needy, but after you walk half the battlefield - you really curse the gods for a teleport or a scroll. Still, there is no AI and nobody to go against. The multiboard looks better now, but I think that the inventor should not be there, or atleast not be seen by enemy heroes. Hence I can quickly go with a counter-tactic for my opponent's "intelligence items"


Pros

[*] Map is balanced, terrain and base like. Map got shorter in size which is good. Terrain is MUCH better than the last version

[*] There are plenty items to pick from now and the recipe number got bigger

[*] Creeps and neutral creeps are equally balanced. Also creeps get randomly (atleast randomly for me) get upgraded and increased in numbers. great

[*] I love the one lane attack!

[*] The camera smoothness impressed me! I've seen that in few maps and don't know what it is, but its great

[*] I can say many text bugs got repaired which is good

[*] There are tons of new heroes to go play with, and its tough selecting which.

[*] Fancy colors on spells, hero name, hero type. Spells aren't written in one line, they are actually well thought of and written nicely, displaying effect, cooldown and after effects if there are after effects (like diane's soul upgrade on your ultimate)

[*] Towers now GIVE gold when your creeps or fellow heroes kill them. Sweet! I had gold pouring into my top integer and had a trouble thinking what to buy.


Cons

[*] The map size is still too big for not including a cheap-donkey-ass teleport scroll or a recall spell. If not that, including a speed boost. I'm telling you, walking to base without a scroll sucks ass.

[*] Stealth potion (Steailth) you have a mistext there.

[*] I couldn't try all the heroes but I'm not sure in the uniqueness in all the spells. After all I still saw the Skirmisher having all of his passive spells when I was to select a hero. Really, its not balance to have a 3 passive hero in your map.

[*] There are 2 Moon Wells and 2 Coral Beds that STILL serve no purpose and are off course for creeps to kill. Are those ment for players to backdoor, kill and earn extra gold?

[*] The naga's middle building before the main one is called "Poseidon's Temple" - if this was Greek Gods AoS I would love that. But this is Elune vs Azshara and how the hell did Poseidon got into that story? He banged Azshara and made her rename her temple to his? Change the name of that, it has no sense. And yes I have an eye for details.

[*] Even more of the items are dota's replicas. That's just not good - both in stealing ideas from dota and implementing them in your map and has no unique-ness. You can find dozen of maps which feature something totally balloney like marines vs MURLOCS and they have dota items. Whats with that? Dota doesn't have the best items or the best recipes around. Check out many maps made by emjr3 if that is how its spelled, you will find many OUTSTANDING items with abilities and unique names.

[*] Inventor is a great thing for a multiboard but not for CURRENT play. You can spot what enemy is trying to build and consider what he might do with it. You immediately think counter-tactic.. that is something you shouldn't allow. Making it only team to see it or displaying it at end is the way

[*] Map has no AI. I really think it needs an AI. A basic AI.
 
Seems really good. I wanna see these heroes. I like the fact that it is 3v3 like my own map. Check my signature and leave me a comment about mine too! I'd appreciate it!

If you say that the game is based on waves of creeps and heroes. Is this really good? Because it kinda limits the possibility of people doing other stuff except pushing the wave.

Well, the goal of AoS games is to push the waves towards the enemy's base. This also includes, but it's not limited to: hero slaughter, team battles, tactics, ...
