The following things listed below just POP out of my mind while playing your map
(all of this is my personal opinion)
  • replace "wisp" with "druid of the talon"
    (cuz druid of the talon fits the description of druid range creeps)
  • add a minor HP REGENERATING Item that doesn't dispel on attack
  • add a scroll of town portal that teleports to the towers and/or a permanent Item that allows players to teleport to your lane creeps
    (for fast defense upon revival or after buying items cuz going back to base to buy items then back to the lane takes way too much time)
  • add a BOSS that drops cool Items(one that cannot be bought in the market)
  • voodoo hut, moon well and other buildings should give gold to the player who destroyed it.
  • add a game mode to see the players' current movement speed
  • the DIRE MAMMOTH on the lest side of the map attacks you first without you even attacking him.Creeps should only attack heroes/units that come too close to them or those who attacks them first
  • try adding some line-of-sight blocker in the neutral creeps area
  • players can sneak attack the left and right unprotected lanes.try adding some creep respawn there or make a cliff or something so that players can't sneak attack your base.
    (If you have future plans on those lanes then just ignore this)
  • Change "Orcs' Forces" with "The Horde" or just "Horde"
  • Some heroes needs "SERIOUS" spell damage balancing!!!
    -some of the spells have very low damage for their level.
    (because of these, players have less chances of whipping each other's asses
  • Heroes spells should match with their appearance...kinda like magebane...he looks like a mage but he's an ANTI-mage(because of his feedback and silence)

this is all I can think of after playing your map for a couple of hours.
sorry if this is too short....I'll dig in to this much deeper.

Tamerleine, answers are comming:
1. Nobody wants another DotA replica, so I am leaving Aurora Wisps just the way they are.
2. Chipped Emerald that regenerates 200 hp over 20 seconds has already been added in the new version and I wrote that before (2 times).
3. Same for the Scroll of Town Portal.
4. I am still looking of where to place the Boss, what will be his/her appearance, etc...
5. You gain gold when a tower is destroyed, but it doesn't shows the text until I find a way to make it.
6. There are already the -ms/-ma/-clear commands.
7. I think I will revise the Dire Mammoth's position.
8. As well of adding sight blockers.
9. Uhm... New terrain check?
10. Sounds more logical. The Horde.
11. I need to know what has to be balanced in order to make it balanced.
12. Magebane has perfect name and it's a tribute to HoN. Yes, he is maybe Anti-mage, but I am leaving him with this class for the sake of originality.

A little note: I am sorry for not updating the map recently. I know that you will get quite surprised when the 1.2 comes out. A little hint includes a hell of lot new stuff. Let's get to the point:

12 new heroes. All heroes are now split in two altars (taverns) - one symbolizing protectors of Nature and Light; other one symbolizing users of Darkness and Brutality.

3 new shops with item recipes. One is dedicated to spellcasting items, second one is for assaulting items that give you an edge in combat, and the third one is about protective items. One shop with 'supportive' items is half-filled.

Various existing hero changes. Many spells have been reworked to get to advanced point (Such as Elainiel's Lunation Blade reworked so it looses damage as more targets it hits). Several heroes have their themes changed (Such as Wind Dancer reworked to War Dancer, spell's effects have been changed to fit new themes). Few heroes have their appearances changed (models).

Let me introduce you to 5, random new heroes.
1. Draconian Warmage - offensive melee half-warrior, half-caster.
2. Moon Rose - offensive melee spellcaster.
3. Sin Slayer - offensive melee disabler.
4. Druidess - offensive/defensive caster.
5. Eniripsa - fragile supportive caster.

Just came to say that another hero (besides the 12 ones) has been implemented. And that's Titania, the Reprisal Lady. I might change class. Uses model of Spirit of Vengeance. 400 attack range, 300 move speed. She has Searing Arrows, Entangling Roots, Evasion and +damage roar (X + Y% damage).

evil virus(intelligence hero)
atk range :600
ability:
virus strike(70 mana)(8 second cooldown)
Afflicts a target enemy unit with a deadly Virus,making it attack and movement speed slower. If the afflicted unit dies while under the effect of Virus, a minor Virus will spawn from its corpse.
impale(100 mana)(20 second cooldown)
Impale nearest evil virus enemy unit,giving them damage and stun for 9 second.
duo blaster(passive)
evil virus can attack a multiple enemy at a same time
Deadly spores(passive)
when evil virus killed,he will spit a large poison to enemy unit around him,make them afflicted by a deadly spores and give a huge damage.the afflicted unit take 5 damage/second.if the afflicted unit dies while under the effect of Deadly spores, 4 Virus will spawn from its corpse.

Bad news guys (& girls).
My lovely bf has "overclocked" my Pc to get more speed. Nothing can happen to your Pc, he said. It will just get faster, and there is no risk at all. I never knew a thing about clocking or timing or whatever.
Well, all I got left from it is a part of CD that was inside. Beautiful, huh? That was my vacation -.-
I managed to get up my hard disk and combine it with an undeleter - and all I succeeded to save is half the things I've made, in the folder of Testmaps. I am sorry for my bf's unconvertible experiment, and I am working quite fast to add all the things, I've added before. Such an Irony, huh? -.-'

For the lack of space, I've split all heroes in 2 taverns. Altar of Elders and Altar of Darkness. I've implemented several brand new things in here, such as:
Added a Tree Resurection System
Added a new shop: Consumables
Added a short cinematic at the begining of game
Added four new creep camps, following Tamerleine's suggestions
...

For now, the heroes count is 19. I'm bringing back everything I've done before. Nice to see you again in here.

Imbalanced, but I will see what I can do to craft something that can be like this.

Well, it lasts for roughly 7 seconds. Fading in to altars and quick showing night elves and orc base. I implemented an easier item system using JNGP ^^
Now I can use jass as well to make my map better.

Edit:
Removed cinematic. Getting players annoyed is not so good, huh? Also, I just implemented a renew to Executor's Shadow Raze - crafted just for me ^^
And I implemented sprees. I guess that's a double kill :D

Regarding the latest released version 1.1: The changelog says " Added Dust of Appearance, Scroll of Town Portal." Which shop sells these? I can't seem to find them at the moment.

I also noticed some tool-tips that could use improving. The purpose of these changes are to make the tool-tips more free of grammar/spelling errors as well as making them more consistent with each other. I'll just start out with one hero, and if this is helpful, I would be more than glad to help with more.

Atrgres the Naga Royalist:

Tidal Crush: Stuning -> Stunning
Recall: Wrapping the gravity and time around a target unit, The Naga Royalist instantly teleport this target unit to his position.
Remembrance: Injecting a powerful concoction of acid water with each of his attacks, the Naga Royalist slows the attack and movement speed the target unit.*
Pestilence Aura - The Naga Royalist crushes the courage of nearby enemy units, greatly reducing their armor.

* - The tooltip should mention that it slows both attack and movement speed.
* - I noticed that an unit attacked by the Naga Royalist with this spell gets debuffed with Slow Poison. Is this intended?

Other:
When a hero is killed, the following comes up. The game doesn't seem to parse the name in the proper format.

Also, in the lobby, the teams are : Sentinels and Orc's Forces.
Would it make more sense for them to be:
Sentinels be re-named Elune's Warriors ? (since in-game the team is called Elune's Warriors)
Orc's Forces be re-named The Orc Horde? (just a grammar correction and so its more consistent with what's used in-game)

I will be quite happy if you provide me with more reviews! Soon, the new version will be released, following ALL suggestions you said I should implement. Multiboard, Assists, Tree and Creep respawns, Heroes split in two taverns (Good and Evil), Name change, tooltips improvements, ...

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, and I apologize if it has been suggested, but what about replacing the wood/food icons with a clock icon? The primary purpose of this is to just let players know about how long the duration the game has been going on for. Since wood/food are irrelevant to this game, I think it's a helpful change for the better.

Heroes split in two taverns (Good and Evil)
I strongly recommend not doing the good/evil tavern split. It's been done over and over again in many similar aeon-of-strife type games, and is just not creative or interesting anymore! There's nothing wrong with the Elune's Warriors versus The Orc Horde :)

So, some revised tooltips for 3 heroes (fixed spelling and grammar issues, inconsistencies, etc). One of the over-arching changes to the tooltips that I think is worth implementing is mentioning the name of the caster in each spell tooltip. Just makes the tooltip have more lore related to it, while also clearly mentioning what each spell does.

A lot of the edits are directly integrated into the spell tooltip, so please read all of them deeply and ensure that it actually improves the tooltip :)

FAYE:

Crystalline Wave - Faye hurls a magical missile of frost towards the target point. When the missile lands it bounces further and shatters, releasing many icy missiles in the area. [...]
*Crystaline -> Crystalline

Sheer Cold - Faye launches a death-chilling wave of frost towards the targeted location. Upon reaching it, the missile unleashes frozen novas in the area around. These novas deal damage and freeze the enemy units within.

Icicle Warp - Hurtling towards a target point as fast as a meteorically cascading Icicles, Faye is able to travel at near instantaneous speeds.
* wanted to relate this more to the Ice theme of Faye, instead of the time theme.

Chilling Comet - Faye summons an ancient power of crystal spirits, evoking a frozen comet from the sky that discharges towards an area. This comet explodes upon impact, propelling away and damaging any enemy units caught within its area of effect.






Lady Aphera

Frost Arrows - Lady Aphera fuses frozen magics to her attacks. Each attacks slows the enemies' movement and attack speed.

Rejuvenate - Lady Aphera engulfs a target allied unit with enchanted runes that provide increased health and mana regeneration for 10 seconds.
* Progeneration is not an appropriate name for this spell. Progenerate means to give birth or, or rise to. Since this spell intends to heal, rejuvenate is a better name for this spell.

Haste - Lady Aphera lightens the souls the souls of nearby allied units, increasing their attack speeds.
* Swift Haste is redundant - haste is already swift! :)
* For each level, it should say X% bonus attack speed.
* The tooltip should also mention how long this spell lasts.

Inner Sight - Lady Aphera casts a visual enhancement mark upon a target enemy unit, revealing it's position for her and her allies. Allies units close to that unit will gain increased attack damage. Lasts for 30 seconds.
* Not completely sure what a "revelion" mark is. Could you please clarify?





Gryphon Charger

Chain Lightning - Pandemonios hurls a bolt of lightning at a target enemy unit, which jumps to nearby enemies and deals magic damage to them. Jumps for a maximum of 8 times.

Static Discharge - Pandemonios cracks the earth at the target location, conjuring a static discharge that deals minor damage to all enemy units in the area and stuns for 2 seconds.

Storm Hammers - Pandemonios's hammers are enchanted with the essence of storms, granting him an ability that 20% of his attacks will deal bonus damage and stun.

Electric Crush - Collecting sparks from the air, Pandemonios applies these sparks to crush the vitality of a target enemy unit. The target enemy unit is silenced and dealt damage based on maximum health. Lasts 6 seconds.
* not sure if chitinous is a proper word for this spell.



By the way, I can't wait for the next update of this update! Good job and keep up the excellent work!

So which heroes are being changed? It would be useless to revise a tooltip for a hero in 1.1b when they are thematically changed in 1.1c :p

Continually on with some tooltip revisions:
The Wind Dancer (changed in 1.1c?):

Wind Dance: The Wind Dancer gathers wind energy to intensely swirl, releasing lightning bolts at nearby enemies that slow them for 5 seconds.
* this ability is bugged. if you don't move, Wind Dance will last forever.

Mirror Image: The Wind Dancer confuses enemies by creating illusions of himself; the process of creating these illusions dispels any buffs. The illusions deal a percentage of the Wind Dancer's original damage, and take increased damage. Lasts up to 25 seconds.

Critical Strike: Gives the Wind Dancer a chance to do 150% of his damage on an attack.

Tornado: By gathering the ultimate wind powers from the atmosphere, the Wind Dancer summons a fierce Tornado that slows enemy units by 70% in a 400 AOE.
Up to 500 cast range.

The MageBane:

Silence: The MageBane silences enemies in a target area, preventing them from casting spells.

Slow: The MegaBane breaks a crucial link in the target's mind, slowing it's attack rate and movement speed for 6 seconds.

Feedback: The MegaBane's attack destroys mana with each hit. This mana destroyed combusts, dealing damage to the unit that is attacked by MegaBane.

Fortune Reversal: The Megabane swaps a target enemy unit's vitality and wisdom, instantly switching the values of health and mana for target unit with each other. Target unit is also slowed by 10% for 6 seconds. Health cannot go under 200.

Skirmisher:

Shadow Strike: The Skirmisher hurls a poisoned dagger at a single target, dealing damage over 10 seconds as well as initial amount of damage. The poisoned unit has reduced movement speed for the duration of Shadow Strike. Slow quantity increases per level.

Slow Poison: The Skirmisher adds a venomous substance to each spear he throws, making every target that is struck by his spears suffer minor damage over 6 seconds. Each affected unit's movement speed and attack speed are also reduced by 12%.

Trueshot Aura: The Skirmisher emits an aura that gives ranged friendly units bonus damage to their attacks.

Precision: Sharpens the Skirmisher's skills to the edge, granting bonus agility and range.

I noticed that toweres for each side are only in the middle-lane. Why not in the side-lanes?

Hehe, you wrote the Magebane correctly the first time, then you started with mEgabane :D

Anyways, final hero that is in 1.1b!

Executor:

Execute: No problem here

Shadow Raze: No problem here

Deep Wound: Shannequa has a chance to maim the target enemy on each ordered attack, which will slow the target by 40% for 2.5 seconds. Only ordered attacks activate this passive.
* The luck roll doesn't seem to fit the lore of this spell well.

Twilight Break: Shannequa wreaths an enemy unit into the twilight shadows, dealing damage over time and preventing them from casting spells. Lasts 10 seconds.



When do you plan to release the next version? Can't wait to see the changes!

I guess 'lane' isn't a proper term in this case. There are 3 entrances to a base right? Left, Middle, and Right. I was wondering why Left and Right don't have any extra tower protection at the entrances of base.

@Brilliance Aura: pressence -> presence and it's good :)

Personally, Vestal Priestess sounds more warcraft-ish.

It's okay - if you wish to see the messages you sent, you should go to http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions and then tick the option of "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default". It will save a copy of messages you sent to the "sent" folder.
One of the primary rules on THW (The Hive Workshop) is to not double post and necropost. Double post (or even triple post/quad post/... post) is two or more messages sent in a row, one after another by the same user. There must be at least 48 hours for you to send another message just above your previous one ;)
Instead, you can use the
edit.gif
button instead and write in there what you forgot, or to fix your grammatical errors. It goes like this:
Hi there, I am Apheraz Lucent!
Edit: Oh I forgot, Merry Christmas!

Lol, from the time that I joined THW until a few months ago, I joined every project that I found, and that was of interest to me. So I really do have a lot on my hands. Not to mention my own projects. Sorry Apheraz :(

Guess I'll begin with a Hero Idea right one. I submitted this one to dota. He actually took the idea more or less with the new hero I realizied. But heavily modified, so guess this could fit into your map :)

(The Ice Giant can move while breathing)

Ability 2:

Shattering Fists (Passive)

The Ice Giant is skilled at crushing iceblocks in his homecountry, now he is able to use the crushing technique in battle as well. Deals extra damage every 2 attacks and if the target is frozen solid and gets hit by shattering fists, the ice shatters and the enemy takes extra damage and gets slowed for 3 seconds.

The Ice Giant hurls a big ice boulder at a target enemy. On impact the boulder explodes and deals damage on the target, scattering ice shards over 225 AOE, which deals damage each and ministuns the enemies getting hit.

damage per shards:
10/15/25/25

Ultimate:

Sub-Zero (instant/Self-Position)

The ice giant releases all of his frosty powers in order to make all area around himself (400 AOE) into sub-zero for 5 seconds. Dealing damage each second, slowing (more slow and damage the closer to the Ice Giant) and if a enemy hero gets below 15 % hp inside the sub-zero area, they get frozen solid.
Damage per second (closest):
90/120/180
slow(closest):
25/35/55%

The ultimate "15 % hp" effect could also be changed into "if a unit stays inside sub-zero for x seconds". Can't decide. Haven't decide if it should be channeling or if the AOE should be from where he stood when he used the skill.

Guess you could use that hero template as a template for more hero submissions if you'd like to as well. Don't know your skill in coding either or how hard he will be to create. But I hope you enjoy the idea :)
And I am glad to be on the team. I can assist with the other places as well. The visiual and text, but my main focus would be balancer/idea generator.

Just another notice:
I barely managed to create a custom cooldown model and skin DotA uses. It will make icons appear passive when on cooldown, you've seen it in DotA and it looks quite cool :)
Now, all heroes possess a dissipate animation, Maker sent me a custom system for it :)
Heroes have their descriptions (at taverns) modified, and it really reflects more beautiful appearance :)
