Tier-Up The Game!

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
This is more of a endless battle game. You select a race with your farm and soldiers begin spawning there. Well it's not endless you have to destroy your enemy's Spawner Building. There's also a control point that you might want to capture for some money!
(So far the tiers go up to 15)
Races:
Orcs
Humans
Night Elves



I found this old map on my Hard drive. So it's a evolve type game you have to make sure you kill enemy units so you can level up yours. You do that by upgrading your farm building, but 2 other players want to destroy your farm and your ally's.

Offense
Humans are masters of armor. They are pretty basic.
Support
Night Elves have the only ranged units. They have no armor and they have slow rate of fire. They also have a really long spawn rate. Althrough they are overpowered so it makes it okay. (They are balanced)
Defense
You select the Orc Race. They are very weak soldiers but they spawn faster then the other races.

The farms will keep spawning units until they decay completely.



4 players are allowed. 2v2 or 1v1.


Changelog:
V2 Update:
-Changed the terrain to make the game a little bit harder and force the player to try and capture the point.
-Added 2 more tiers for all races.
-Changed income from killing enemy units to just attacking them.[/hidden]

  • Memory Leaks
  • Could be more efficient (although there nearly aren't any triggers).

Objects:
  • The building can be upgraded to tier 15, but the spawns stop after tier 13.
  • Learn how the damage formula works...
  • Aside from tiers, no upgrades whatsoever.
  • Extreme balancing problems (see below for further information).
  • Aside from the tier units, nothing else (no spells, no items, no creeps).

Terrain:
  • Flat (try using the raise/higher tool).
  • Bad tileset (a few lines of this, a square of that and done).
  • Imbalanced (the center isn't even centered).
  • Completely devoid of anything to add some beauty whatsoever.


Balancing issues:

Human tier 1: 3-4 Damage, 10HP, 2 armor
Orc tier 1: 3-4 Damage, 5HP, 1 armor.
How is that balanced? (They've got the same attack speed and HP regeneration).

But hold on, it gets even better:
Human tier 10: 31-32 dmg, 55HP, 7 armor
Orc tier 10: 16-17 dmg, 45HP, 4 armor.
Come on? You halved damage and armor and decreased his HP, how the hell did you even try to balance those two races?

The elves are not very well balanced either, but they kinda match up with humans.

Humans still win with ease.

These were my test-settings:


Humans vs Orcs:

- 31 humans and 40 orcs (which is the case after 62 seconds).
- Rush towards eachother.

Tier 1: 23/31 humans left (74%)
Tier 6: 22/31 humans left (71%)
Tier 10: 23/31 humans left (74%)
Tier 13: 20/31 humans left (65%)

The results speak for iteself.
Additionally, microing is easier with the humans (I could've easily saved a few human lives if I were actually playing, while the orcs are harder to control due to their larger number).
With microing, I think that the humans win with at least 80%.


Night Elves vs Orcs:

- 31 night elves against 63 orcs (which is the case after 97.65 seconds).
- Rush towards eachother.

Tier 1: 27/31 night elves left (87%)
Tier 6: 27/31 night elves left (87%)
Tier 10: 18/31 night elves left (58%)
Tier 13: 5/31 night elves left (16%)

Towards the end, the two races are pretty well-balanced.
I have to note that the pathing is kinda crappy (the units were a bit stuck while walking towards the NE).

Night Elves vs Humans:

- 40 night elves against 63 orcs (which is the case after 126 seconds).
- Rush towards eachother.

Tier 1: 16/40 night elves left (40%)
Tier 6: 6/40 night elves left (15%)
Tier 10: 10/63 humans left (16%)
Tier 13: 5/63 humans left (8%)

As said before, these two races are kind-of balanced (only tier 1 seems to be edging towards the night elves).

Nonetheless, I made my point: orcs are heavily underpowered in this game.
