HQ Chest

This is a High quality chest model for RPG maps, the model has custom animations and custom handdrawn textures. The model is meant to be used alongside my "HQ Barrel" Model and shares its color scheme, but not it's texture.

The model has a death animation, aswell as Death and Birth alternate animations for opening and closing the chest.

You are free to use, edit or reupload the model, if you're reuploading it anywhere just send me a PM.

Neat - I really like the metal parts which are actually 3D and not simply a texture.

Not very Warcraft-ish, but looks great and is quite useful!

I think you could rename the textures into English, tho.

Considering how low quality the custom texture is compared to War3 textures, was it really necessary to use a custom texture? You kicked up the file size for no reason.

This simply isn't worth 82 KB.

Well the model uses handdrawn custom textures and it is part of my models for my maps, I only use my own models and textures and that is the reason for it having it's own custom texture.

Also, by now the KB limit is not really in any way interesting, since we have this http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/tools-560/warcraft-iii-bypass-map-file-size-limit-ver-6-a-259571/

+WC3 Textures are except for a few far worse than these textures. Meaning a far smaller level of detail and a far less appealing color scheme, at least to me. When you say the custom texture is of a low quality anything that I can think of what that can mean is that it is in a comic style and is not trying to be photo realistic.

ALSO, if you want it with standart textures, just go open it in mdlvis and map it all the way you want.

The wood on this chest looks terrible. There are plenty of in-game textures with much higher quality wood.

If you're going to use a custom texture, then you need to make it look good enough to be worth importing.

So the 0.01% of Warcraft 3 players who use that mod can bypass the 8MB limit to play online.

The other 99.99% of players will never see a map that requires this.

I really wish that the map size limit was simply removed, so that everyone could play maps over 8MB, so that people like you could make your resources as large as you want them to be without it impacting its usefulness. But that simply isn't the case, so while an absurd file size still leaves it useful to some people, it overall does impact its usefulness as it becomes useless to almost everyone.

This is technically giving permission to UV Map it with warcraft III textures.

I already gave permission to "use, edit and reupload" it
I have no problem if any of my models are reworked in any way you want, and a standart texture version could be usefull for a whole bunch a people I guess.
All I'm asking for is getting credit for creating the base model :p
