DRAGON PEAK
Created by DETHRET

Map Info:

Many want the powers that reside on top of Dragon Peak, but to claim it they must defeat the guardians; a powerful dragon and his worshipers, as well as those others who seek its magical powers. Ancient waygates have been discovered buried beneath rocks
and trees.

Features:

A regular melee map that revolves around the center with a mana fountain, this is
the only way to reach the other side, unless you reach the waygates. So be sure
you don't get attacked from the rear.

Author's notes:

This is my very first melee map, so there might be some imbalances in creep, base size
and terrain. I want any feedback on how I can improve and make this (and other) maps great.

An aesthetically neat melee map. You did a fair job with the terrain as you used tile variation handsomely and didn't leave the terrain flat. Decorations were minimum but appropriate and attractive. The central hill, however, looks a little awkward so I'd suggest lowering it a little. This would provide a better vision to players and facilitate army movements.

The problem of your melee map is the item drops. I noticed that many of them have chances to drop nothing, something that I'd dare to call "forbidden", especially if they are in a large number. I mean, there could be such an unlucky game where 4/5 creeps don't drop anything. Just imagine a player defeating the mighty level 10 dragon and receiving nothing at the end; this would be mega unfair, that's why I say that "chances of dropping nothing" are prohibited. To fix this, simply right-click on any item of the item sets and click on "Redistribute Chances".

Lastly, I would like to have a word on the waygates. The regions they are linked to are hilariously put onto rocks. If I take one waygate, my troops may get stuck within the rocks. I know that we have to clear our way through the rocks to reach either but you cannot know for sure that a player will breach the rocks right in the area where the region is put. How about just letting the waygates transport troops to each other?

Overall your map is as simple as enjoyable. I reckon this can give a nice 1v1 experience when all the issues are fixed. I will set it to needs fix. Just fix the problem of the item drops and the one of the waygates and approval shall follow.
