In Japanese there's no phonetic "L" sound, so if you read the manga/watch the anime in Japanese it's "Pee-co-ro".

I never said you did. I'm Japanese though, so I say it like a Japanese person. And it being a western instrument is irrelevant. It's pronounced the same in Japanese as "Pee-co-ro".

For example:

Piccolo (ピッコロ, Pikkoro?), whose full name is Piccolo Jr. (ピッコロ・ジュニア, Pikkoro Jyunia.?)
