a choice to have ground target AOE spells surround current target. for example for a DKs death and decay instead of clicking DnD then clicking the ground just instead have it cast at your current target and it AOEs around that target. but make it only a choice like auto self cast choice.

Putting it into a macro would be incredibly useful. Especially as I play a Frost Death Knight with the Howling Blast glyph, it'd work amazingly with my AoE

Example,

/cast Howling Blast
/cast [target=target] Death and Decay

So I'd just have to hit that button twice and it'd fire a Howling Blast (causing Frost Fever from the Glyph) and then drop a D&D on the target on the second click.

I really wonder why they haven't made ground target abilities do this yet.

No, but if it did, that'd probably be how it would be written.

The premise is, it would cast a Ground targetted AoE ability at the feet of a specific target.

I suppose it is done to remove possible abuses for things like Death + Decaying a Rogue the instant you spot him during stealth, by dropping D&D right on its head , thereby revealing him.

The easiest way would just be to keybind it. Bind it to some key, and when you want to use it, you just need to hover your cursor over the area, press the key, and then cast DnD. It is fast and efficient for those quick AoE's.

hovering cursor over and casting was the whole problem and the reason i made this thread.
Mountable cow would be nice and funny.

there is a rooster mount if you like barn yard mounts

its what mages paladins and priests do whit thier nova type spells, hell i would even take it if it could only AOE around myself the whole point though is its slow DPS to have to hover over and cast. you know what may be possible though and i would have to research it i guess but "yards" are used to determine max and min ranges in the game so if it was possible to make a macro to target a certain number of yards away that would work as well.
