I'm trying to make as fluid combat as possible for my map and got really interested in D3s mechanic to cast abilities.

Is it possible to make a (global?) trigger that makes the combat similar to D3s combat?

i.e.
-AoEs is activated @ the position of your mouse simply by clicking the hotkey.
-Single Target spells is activated when the hotkey is clicked, if you're hovering a potential target with your mouse(like AoE, but req. a target)
-Auto Attack is disabled and you need to Left-Click on the (Area/)target for Each Attack
-Able to bind Right Mouse Button as a hotkey to an ability

Got ideas that would make ANY of this possible? I'm not handy with strings and have no idea what Jass or other tools are. Guess I can copy-paste though. Hope this is the right forum.

Thanks in advance :ogre_haosis:

since wc3 is already a decade old

The following things are impossible:
AoEs is activated @ the position of your mouse simply by clicking the hotkey.
Single Target spells is activated when the hotkey is clicked, if you're hovering a potential target with your mouse(like AoE, but req. a target)
Able to bind Right Mouse Button as a hotkey to an ability

Qc3 doesn't have access to our very powerful mouse.. (since those things aren't available back then)

I'm not sure with this one:
Auto Attack is disabled and you need to Left-Click on the (Area/)target for Each Attack

but i think it's 99% impossible too

But third party tools will grant you these things.. probably

If only there was an editor similar to the WC3 one that wasn't ancient...

What do you mean about "third party tools"? How much effort is required for "those"?

like those of umswe and such.. but kinda not recommended nowadays since they're already very old too

well sc2 editor may grant you those things..

or you may just check whether the cancel ability is present.. but i'm not pretty sure if it's still doable since you can no longer detect(or else it might just bug) when the cancel button is clicked in the latest patch (which I've read around)

and trackables wouldn't help you either.. since it's about when you are about to cast the ability... or when you're in the phase of targeting the ability to a possible target/point
hmm.. but the camera natives might help you.. but it would just get the center of your screen.. or any possible points on your screen(if you do some calculations)... and not the location of the mouse pointer (but it's pretty similar in some ways)

you can use trackables to detect where the mouse is, the problem? your map won't be playable due to extreme lag... why? because you will need to spam trackables all over the map...

the best thing you could do with a 1-click skill is that the skills will be auto-targeting... or use custom targeting systems which register target's via right-click or left-click... but the AOE on mouse target won't really be "doable"...
