I was scrolling through the editor this morning, got my beta yesterday.

There is a LOT of stuff, and it is done in drastically different ways than War3 in a decent amount of places.

I did have to laugh though when I saw that the GUI icons and format was almost identical, it is so out of place!

I actually like the fact that is looks scary to noobs, maybe the map quality will not fall to the noobs that open up the editor and do random stuff...

Scary to noobs? This is the most user-friendly modding program ever. It's way too friendlier than it should be. Try modding Dawn of War >_> And that ain't enough scary either.

In comparison to War3, it is a lot more work.

I just changed one ability: had to make the ability, make the effect, add the ability, add the button, THEN trigger it.

That is a lot more effort than War3 was.

Plus there are a lot more options to edit.

To me, that seems like something that noobs will stay away from, but that is just me...

It is still unbelieveable how you cant see simple things like Unit's height, have to go through lots to change the model, triggers such as Unit of Type as event response, various other definitions of a unit in a trigger and yet has some Unit in group that you cant exclude.

Very well said, some things are EASY, and other things are extremely difficult.

I just hope that the scripting language is a little more robust than the the GUI, it is more lacking than the War3 GUI sometimes.
