Hello everyone. I have noticed a rise in the use of WoW models to represent warcraft heroes, units, etc. I was curious if large numbers of these WoW models in SC2 games cause a significant increase in lag? Thanks!

No as they have about the same complexity as StarCraft II models. They might even cause less due to lacking texture layers (WoW render was simpler than StarCraft II).

Obviously they will cause performance problems in huge numbers like StarCraft II models do. Try and use models of similar complexity for their use. If you will spam hundreds of the unit (like zerglings) then you will want a simple model. If you will only have 1-2 (like a hero) then a really complex model is fine. If you spam battlecruisers or thors you will always have performance problems.
