Would i need permission to do this?

I'm re-making a map from Starcraft 2 for Warcraft III (don't judge me for that, I like warcraft better) and I was wondering, if I were to upload the map to the hive, would I need permission from the original map makers first or do I even need permission at all?

If anyone is interested, I'm re-making the "MineralZ" game.

secretly make your map and upload, no one will know a thing if you said nothing. To be safe, make it different from the starcraft 2 map,

warcraft 3 and starcraft 2 are completely different, the 2 games will hardly 'feel' like the same.
And ive seen 20+ custom maps remade in starcraft 2. So if they all remake wintermaul wars etc etc... then it shouldnt matter that you want to make *insert game here* in wc3
