[General] Need a permission for a map

I dont know if this is a right question for this section or not. Hmm, I need a permission to edit the map "http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/world-warcraft-reborn-80480/?prev=search%3Dworld%2520of%2520warcraft%2520reborn%26d%3Dlist%26r%3D20". However, I cant find the user to contact to. So can anyone help me?
P/S: Just want to edit it to play without posting it in any site so if anyone have the unprotected map, plz help me.

That map was uploaded on Jul 2007 so I don't think the creator is still modding so I don't think you need permission (And especially that your just gonna edit/use it for yourself). If this map was popular enough, there might still be an unprotected version floating around the net but it's very unlikely.

You can still find the original map at epicwar and that map is not protected and encourages you too open it and use it since he thought everyone should be able too learn from it he only asked that you leave his name and work in the credits.

Permission is really needed on editing a map to let them know that you are using their map. But if things got worse and the creator is MIA or missing. You can just not ask anymore but I do think its still a sign of respect.

BTW, but if you are gonna edit it and submit it in a new form of a map, you will really need a permission to be honest because if incase the person comes back and sees it, he will actually feel bad.

Thks for the unprotected map, Razosh. I try to contact with the creator but I cant see any account on Hive and when I contact the email, there is no respond too.

The user might have no account here in Hive and also if he is not responding, that just means he left the map.
