Hey guys, new here! This is just an upcoming project I am currently developing and I thought I'd post some of the terrain here to see what you guys think, constructive criticism is appreciated! I didn't want to stray from core wc3 models so instead just re-textured some things and I didn't want to import or use high-poly models either! All the textures in this map were textured and done by me as well as the world tree re-texture which I did myself.

THIS IS A WORK IN PROCESS!

Really soothing to the eye for what I think would be a playable map. Is it supposed to be a playable map? Either way, I think you should add smaller details / doodads on the more empty areas and edges.

I see there's an unnatural line in the custom stone texture. It doesn't really bother me, but if this is just meant for showcasing I'd suggest you to replace it. If it's playable, I think it looks great and players wouldn't mind it.

This will be a playable terrain yes, those cliffs were textured by myself and I couldn't seem to remove the glitched line, they did not appear on the texture themselves but I will work on trying to cover it up!

Gooking real lood there, Mercer. Especially like how the standard waterfalls don't look shit like they normally do.

I understand not wanting to stray from Warcraft's core, but what you could look into is importing models that still use ingame textures. Especially for trees and plantlife. That way it'll look tenfolds better and it won't ruin the style you're going for.

e.g. the Sapin or Lordaeron Tree. Or any of the various pine models.

Also, it's always better to have the images displayed as thumbnails.

I'm keeping a careful eye on my import track, as for the trees those trees and even the world tree roots were textured by myself and recoloured to fit an Azshari theme, it may not appear so from those pics, but they are different coloured. I will post an update soon, and thank you for your response!

I suggest not having your doodads cross each other and the terrain and go through them like in your fifth screenshot. It looks ugly.

Bad angle, it will not be visible in game when played.

Nice job on the texturing! I especially like the world tree texture you made. Any chance you'll be sharing any of these wonderful textures with the community?

Most probably after I release the map! One of my textures is already up on the forums as Lady Vashj's skin.
