changes from 5 include:
-debugged...most of the errors are totally gone now
-all players vote at once...speeding things up
-new heroes added to make accurate to time periods
-AoS style rebuffed: experience is shared, but extra is given when a hero gets a kill

To be honest, I don't like the concept of choosing between melee and AoS. The AoS style is simply ridiculous. Why? Some pinpoints:

1. The AoS concept is simply not as fun. It just proves to be somewhat ineffective because of the selection and gameplay (items, mercenaries, etc...)

2. There are unbalances in mainly AoS. For example, Mordor's Nazgul is quite effective when grouped together. It's simply a cheap effective tactic.

3. The postitions affect the gameplay much. If you notice Mordor's location, you can see how it's surrounded by two of its allies. :? I hope you realize my point.

4. The AI definetely does not work out. You should improve the comp AI and make sure it can work out with an AoS style map.

So often quite well I suggest looking over the gameplay and check for anything that does not fit in an AoS. The map design isn't quite as effective. And also I'll have to say that the majority of the descriptions and LotR accuracy isn't very constructive. PM me if you want some actual clear thoughts of mine.

Well i'm not sure what your talking about with the accuracy. Sure, the AoS doesn't have lanes...it's not meant to be an exact AoS map.

An important note: this map is meant to be balanced with all players playing! The powerful nazgul your talking about are supposed to be balanced out by the fellowship (ply4 purple) who also has 7 heroes.

Lastly the AI in melee is very different from that of the AoS style, and the AoS works pretty well...

the comp sends out units from pre-grouped barracks to their primary enemy town hall, once the enemy town halls are destroyed or the player is defeated, it selects a new one, there is a limit of units out for each player so there won't be an overload and old units simply move to a new target after player defeat. There are a decent number of items in the map, maybe not the 30 per player of a regular AoS map, but it's meant to be a trade off to play in LOTR atmosphere...
for some reason i doubt that you even played this map for more than 10 minutes...some good thoughts, but you have no experience (for example yes mordor is easy to defend, but Gondor and Helm's Deep are also easy to defend and Mordor has fewer allies

so I don't think your rating of a 3 is fair...but the voting at this site is always done unoften and is usually partial (last time w/ v5 i got two or three 5's)

Here it is, World of Middle Earth 7!!!!!
Including 2 new scenarios, the Dagorlad, and the battles for Minas Tirith and Helms Deep.

-7.1 changes are just making the goblin blow yourself up guy have larger damage so that he can help take down gates

-Other changes include the option of picking from a host of heroes at game start rather than with the traditional heroes of the age.
-Quicker voting
-AoS gameplay has been strengthened and debugged.
-New heroes
-Flank Attacks don't hurt buildings
-No memory error messages whatsoever
-Many innumberable fixes

This map is so immense some people are bewildered in game. But at heart the strategy is just to efficiently annihilate your enemy. In melee play Gold comes from bounty and periodically from farms. Balance your spending between armies and farms (max of 6 allowed). Bad players have a larger food max since they're outnumbered. Good players should try to kill the Balrog in Moria and Smaug before they are rescued (so that they cannot revive).

I intend for this to be my final version...if people make addittions or tweaks they can email their own versions to me and I'll try to compile them into one

7.2 fixes:
-Gollum is easier to kill in hobbit age in order to get ring
-Elrond only gets dark lord timer when picks up One Ring
-The One Ring is removed from the game if the AoS pick heroes option is used (triggers will mess up otherwise)
-various balance and small error fixes

This is an all in one middle earth map. It has tons of game options which utilize a voting system at startup. You can fight on the Dagorlad, Pelennor Fields, or play a customized melee game in either the LOTR age or The Hobbit age, or play an AoS game in either age with the option of choosing 1 hero or using the default for the age. Other options include Flank Attack Damage (units take extra damage from behind), and Hero revivability.

This a hugely expansive map with virtually unlimited scenarios and playing options. Buy a host of armor\weapon items and challenge an enemy hero to a duel!

Virtually everything has been customized in this map, but here are the basics:

Getting 'Gold':
Scenario gameplay: What you start with is what you have

AoS: 20 or 30 gold every minute or so, get more from kills

Melee: While there are a few gold mines on the map, primary income comes from farms. Farms are expensive and a max of 6 can be built. Every few minutes they give a hefty amount of money. Guard them well (or attack them). Gold is also gained from bounty in melee mode and from winning a duel or by finding it in Moria or the Lonely Mountain

Why is there always 2 computer players and why is the bad side outnumbered?

Answer:
I needed 2 players for the comps. in AoS. Bad side has a larger food max than good players. Bad also has the oppurtunity to rescue the balrog in moria to gain another hero. In the Hobbit age Ply12 (brown) can rescue Smaug from the Lonely Mountain. If these heroes are killed before rescued they are out of the game.

I tried the map, and I have to say it is fun. would be good a detailed description, example i couldnt figure out is there AI exclude Aos ones or not, or just I don't know how to make them work...
Some more skins and models and a low sized picture as loading screen would be nice also and better terrain thus some new spells plus trying to hold low the map size.
Anyway with actually sources this map could be more cool but it has still originality and quality.
