[General] Won't teleport?

in my map I have come up with a unit called Void Mage. a unit capable of traveling through the void to another Void Mage.

basically they have blink and mass telaport. all they are good for.

blink works fine.

telaport doesnt.

The telaportation seems to acquire its target, the two units lock on and become invulnerable and the process lasts about a second. then it suddenly stops and says "cannot telaport to target."

the units are set as mechanical and townhall, and ive set the spell to target units like them.

is there something else im missing here?

(my we is not open right now so I didnt really check) but...
if you set units as mechanical and townhall, townhall should be machinical, maybe it isnt ?
but it should tell it in first place. is teleport related with blink in anyway ?(I mean, in your map, I know that teleport is basically blink ^^)

imagine you have 2 lands. A, B. You live on A.

Your enemy is attacking B. You can blink there, but your void mage cannot fight at all.

So you get 2 void mages, blink 1 to B planet, and order the other to mass telaport your army to the Void Mage on B.

Or if your ally is on B, and already has a Void Mage, you can just skip the blink and Mass telaport to your ally Void Mage.

Void mages are absolute key to all of this races maneuverability between worlds.

you didnt make any trigger, but you are using actual teleport ability, right ?
also, void mage isnt mechanical or town hall, how can a void mage can teleport to another void mage without blink anyway ?

Try removing town hall as the classification and try something else as the target of the spell, Maybe something classified as a town hall can't teleport.

Set the mass teleport target to tauren, set classification of your void mage tauren.

Thats what I'd try.

The spell cannot be set to classifications. It can only be set to "targets allowed", the spell only targets units classified as townhall by default.

Just as the Tauren-Rez only targets units classified as Tauren in turn.
and just as holy light damages units classified as undead.
 
Here I just created test map for you with channel spell so you can easily add/remove special effects etc etc.
Please check map, script is small, it will work even without Jass New Gen, it's MUI, error/lag less etc etc.

If you need more help about it or what to change something please say :)

I copied the ability and the trigger, set up raw values and added ability to Scroll of Town Portal. When I cast it, special effects appear, but nothing else happens. In your test map, it works, but with pausing caster. Is it possible to channel it, but to make it breakable by stuns or moving, like in real Scroll of Town Portal?

i got it working... the guy who made the spell originally based it on scroll of town patrol instead of mass telaport like i told him to. it was in the mechanics behind the data.

thanks anyway kobas. :\

now perhaps u can help these ppl? :)

Set channel ability casting time to dunno 3 sec, and spell effect will be delayed for that time.
