Greetings Hivemind,

I am havign SERIOUS issues with my map's GUI trigger-based equipment coding.

I'm looking for someone to possibly take a look at the map itself, and figure out why its doing some seriously bizare shit.


I have 2 seperate abilities for unequipping helms and leggings, yet when i click either of them, they both unequip. I have found NO reason for this.

I have an ability that WILL NOT GET THE #$%# off my equipment hero unit. no matter what i do.(unequip chest piece)

And for some weeeeeiiiiird reason by combining items trigger works, but not the FIRST time you click the ability button. after that flawless. ?__?



any helpful people out in the hive who can help a first time mapper ?

Hmmm...

Make sure there arn't multiple trigger's affecting it. Possibly, put in more conditions if possible. Did you look @ the tutorial on item recipe's?

Also, watch on the language; you can get in trouble for that (well, neg rep).

This belongs in the World Editor sub-forum area, NOT in map development. Make sure you got the right sub-forum next time!

Could be a number of reasons, its probably the way you coded it. It could also be that both your unequip abilities have the same spell order strings

I may take a look at it, I've created a Equipment System in GUI. Post the map here and I'll try find the wrong thing.

I think its because you used the same base spell. Since they both use the same ID number (in a sense), when you use one, the other will be used as well or whatever. For example, you made 2 skills based off shockwave and you cast on of them, the other one might be cast instead.
Lets take a real life example, there are 2 Johns in the room, some guy calls John 1 but John 2 might hear it and go to the guy, the best way is to give them different names (or different ID strings in your case).
