Apparently, out of some experimenting, I figured out that if you use Windwalk on a flying unit, it disables its abilities to go over cliffs. Is there any way to bypass this and allow the unit to roam freely?

haha that's odd.

Try turning off it's collision, that should work.

Air units don't really have collision at all, they stack, so you probably won't see the difference if you turn it to zero, so that might be a good idea :)

Well if it can't go over cliffs perhaps it's move type is changed to foot or something while it's under the effects of it.

Good observation. Couldn't find any find in WE that changes it. If movement type is changed to foot probably setting it colision size to 0 won't help.

Yeah, I just settled to changing my ability base to Beserk, but it just struck me as odd and a little disheartening. =\

I just didn't feel like messing with it. I just needed a dummy unit for the casting that wasn't going to go beserk and without an animation. It was a simple non-scripting method to resolving it.

only way is to like use a dummy ability, upon casting give the unit the Ghost ability. Ghost ability works for flying units

cant attach screenshots now cause school net is lagging...

Event
Unit Starts The Effect Of An Ability

Condition
Ability being casted equals to (your spell)

Actions
Add Ghost to Triggering Unit
Wait x seconds
Remove Ghost from Triggering unit

-----------------------
your base spell can use berserk etc.
x seconds = how long you want your spell to be.

If turning off it's collision works then that's a preferable alternative.

Using wait's isn't good coding, and that spell doesn't work like windwalk as it can't be canceled while your doing it (since windwalk cancels itself upon casting or attacking) - just checking for the windwalk buff to turn collision back on is a much more preferable alternative.

meh just use berserk ability and a triggered dummy ability based on invisibility. Works every time

the alternative u posted is the same as mine =x

anyway i'm also not sure what type of spell TS wants in the first place, does he want his flying unit to turn invisible with increased movement speed?

or does he want the base effect of WW where an attack = break damage?

things like this...we will neva know =x

no you said ghost, I said invisibility the difference is that ghost does not dispel when unit attacks/cast a spell etc.
