A waiting perioed is nothing more then a cinimatic black screen to prevent the usual game ``hiccup`` at the begginning after the laod screen dissapears. Doodads, as long as they don`t have a lot of special effects (i.e. sun wells, fires) will not cause lag. I created a max-sized forest map with maxed out doodads (mainly trees, bushes, logs, rocks, mushrooms, ect) and it doesnt lag one bit. But maps that have even a dozen or so fires clumped togather will lag very noticibly.

when i get to testing, if it lags ill try the 'waiting period'... if not this thread was useless ;)
