Why is StarCraft spelled with a capital "C", but Warcraft isn't?

Why is StarCraft spelled with a capital "C", but Warcraft isn't?

Because it's wikipedia, not something as polished and as controlled as Battle.net, where they're both in the same style.

No, not true man. If you go to the page you linked, you'll see in the navigation:

Visit StarCraft II
Visit World of Warcraft
Visit Diablo III

That's still lower case. Still not spelled like WarCraft.

I just discovered "Warcraft" is a real English word.

Then since StarCraft isn't a real word, would that explain why it's spelled with a capital "C"?

Strangely enough it is spelled with a lower case 'c'.
Although with the fancy text on the cover of my Wc3 copy it is presented as a capitle 'C'.
Other than that presented everywhere else I looked as a lower case.
Don't really see any reason to actually need one though. lol

I believe Warcraft does not have a capitol 'C' because it's represented as an actual word, while as StarCraft is a conjunction of the words star and craft.

It is simple. A year ago in Great Britain a school with an abriviature S.H.I.T. was made. The directors realized their screw with the name a bit too late. Noone likes to reffer to a game as a WC. That's why its Wc3 or just War3 or W3
