Where is the Sc2 Terrain Forum?

Not suprising, its the game to mod, and no one is supporting thw sc2 content because they are all so 'wc3 only!' which is dumb.

Not true, it's just that THW is unknown to the SC2 community while SC2mapster is more well known. Why? Well SC2mapster was created by a mass of SC2 fans (not WC3 fans, just SC2 fans) and SC2 only fans outnumber the WC3 + SC2 fans. THW is originally a WC3 site (it's WC3 + SC2 now) so it's unknown to the SC2 community.

When you go to the battle.net forums and ask "where can I find more SC2 map editing sites", it's likely that THW "won't" be listed but SC2mapster or <insert website with "Starcraft" or "SC" in the name> will be listed instead.

So THW is not as popular because it does not have "Starcraft" or "SC" in the site's name.

A lot of SC2 players never played WC3 before so they probably never heard of THW or even know it has a SC2 section.

It's the same with thehelper.net and wc3c's Starcraft forums (which does have SC in the name).

The "SC only" sites are more popular because the number of WC3 players in SC2 is smaller than non-WC3 players. Non-WC3 players mostly advertise and use the "SC only" websites (THW, thehelper.net, etc are all WC3 and SC2 and they're not popular as the "SC only sites").

I think you'll find as much as we try and kid ourselves, blizz rts fans prefer sc or wc, very few like both equally.

So yeah as Newuser pointed out, the majority of thw aren't actually THAT interested in sc2. You can tell, just look at the activity difference.

Maybe a fully functional sc2 section will help... but I don't think it will by much. As stated many times, it's too late, most sc2 fans have migrated elsewhere.

But pretending to be on topic: I just posted a terrain thread in the main sc2 forum, no one seemed to mind at the time... idk if that's changed.

Still, this is one of the most active forums. Sc2Mapster is only mapmaking forums and that would be too much mapmaking topics for me (although they managed to make a melee tournament with lots of interested people). So I decided to stay with THW when I feel like. If I can't get enough help with the Data editor here, I could use mapster too, but here there are more general SC2 topics.
